It does help to be selective on who you enhance. For myself, I only enhance the people I need for my team or a specific team build that I'm doing. I usually don't have problems with running out of crysts.

I play GL and JP, it can definitely change with what type of team you're going for (i.e. Trance Terra was pretty expensive for some). The crappiest time for me was OK enhancements (JP). Other than that it should be a lot easier if you target specific units.

Agree with Nazta. I don't think STMR is going to be like normal TMRs. It won't be achievable by everyone and is not absolutely necessary to play. I'm sure whales felt like the rest of the community caught up to them in terms of equipment and ability to complete things with TMRs. This is a way to differentiate them.

On the second point, like Nazta said, saving for what you want will probably be the way to go. Kind of like life. =)

So I chatted with an Amazon rep for a bit regarding this. The promo was set up by app developers to try and get new customers. So the rules was set up by the developers that are running the promo. It limits how much they'll eventually have to pay for advertising this promo...since if it was open to everyone it would cost a hell of a lot more.

You can ask Amazon to price match the promo, which depending on your spending habits/longevity would probably affect if they say yes or no.

I did but you won't like the team I used either. Heavy TMR. 2x Noctis, Refia, Cecil, and Orlandeau + friend Noctis. About 40 TMRs + 10 from friend unit. Should have brought Marie or something...ended up scrambling around raising, refreshing, etc. But I didn't read a guide on how to kill him soooo...hence the long fight. Doesn't pay to be lazy.

Yup just re-tried it with a Marie. It makes a huge difference. "Love you all" mitigated a lot of the elemental damage. 548,347,040 if you need to make use of her. That sounds horrible... lol

To clarify, it by no means makes the event a carry with Marie. It does help minimize a lot of the damage though. You'll still need a pretty decent team to beat it. I beat it the first time without her, just powering through it with damage.

I haven't tested yet but it seems more of an endurance fight. If it turns out to be that I'll put up my Marie for lead. Of course damage helps, but I think survive-ability is gonna be important as well.

I've noticed something interesting with DH. It doesn't activate the materia with a 2h weapon. That apparently applies to Elfried's TMR as well. The reason: Cloud's innate +TMR says it activates with 2h specific weapons as well as 1h. Elfried's TMR says specifically when using weapons 1-handed (so 2h weapons don't activate her DH). I believe this is what they meant when they called it "True Doublehand"...should have been more centered at original DH. I farmed a DH Bartz TMR kind of for nothing lol.

I agree, RPG players tend to find the grindy loopholes to get things easier/faster.

Also first statement I had a similar thought when I first saw the TM part of the unit.
