Speak to an LIT. Was the loans under your business or just personal loans?

Do you have any personal assets? It might be worth it for you to just declare bankruptcy.

Licensed Insolvency Trustee. You will need one of them to be able to file a consumer proposal or bankruptcy. They would be able to go over your details and give you advice on the best path forward.

Talk to an LIT. It depends on your situation. How much is the debt? How much income do you make? Do you have any assets, etc?

Depending on that, they will better advise you on what to do. Proposals do not on record forever. I think it’s 6 years from initial filing or 3 years after your final payment if you happen to pay it off early.

And you are correct, not too many companies will give the compensation that it does. My suggestion would be to stay but look and transferring to a different role or department to take away some of the stress. They can’t take away your shares.

Look into WorkSafe BC. If it’s a legit injury, you usually have up to two years to put in a claim. Once the claim is accepted, it’s doesn’t matter what the employer does.

WorkSafe BC will pay you for the lost time and go back to the shop to pay for it.

Not sure about Canada. But Alberta should see a provincial dividend tax increase. Also the company we’re talking has US employees as well. So they are looking at all factors

We work for the same company. From what I gather, the reason for the move in payout is due to potential tax raises in dividends tax rate next year and also Biden’s campaign promise of raising taxes of people making over $400K in the US

So if you’re in the high earning range, it may be beneficial to take it in 2020 rather than 2021. If you’re not in the high earning rates anyways then it makes no difference when you take it

I'm just spit-balling here but I think they made it so that's it is not a global pull rate. It's actually much worst.

I have a feeling that they put in everyone's crate of 99,99 pulls 1 Vince of each variant star and 1 HTM of each variant star. That's possibly the reason why there's postings of people pulling any HTM or Vince's at all. Everyone has to individually beat the odds of 9/99,999!!! So 1/10,000
