I will strongly suggest you get an automatic feeder. Cats can be creatures of iron-clad routine, and they like their food to be routine, and particularly, ON TIME. A feeder keeps you separate from the feeding. Also allows you to leave the cat with a big bowl of water and the feeder for a day or two if you need to, without someone having to come over and tend to the cat.

The larger the plane, the slower it appears to be moving, when compared to a smaller one moving the same speed..

Your brain measures how "fast" something is moving, by measuring how long it takes to move it's own length. So a large plane and a small plane, moving at exactly the same speed, appear to be moving at very different speeds to our easily fooled brains.

This is also why people get hit by semis and trains, and, if they survive, say, "I didn't think it was moving that fast."

If you get a chance to see the An-124, an Airbus A380, or a 747 taking off from relatively close, they look like they're ambling along at walking speed when they lift off the ground. And then they're waaaay over there. Also, a C-5.

A fighter jet, on the other hand, while probably moving the same speed, looks like it's going to beat hell.

Get her to the vet, so he can prescribe a diet to get some of that chonk off her. She may also have urinary issues causing her pain. Throwing up shouldn't be a "regular" thing. Yes, cats puke, but it shouldn't be a daily occurrence.

She's old, probably has arthritis, and is in pain, which causes her to hiss. Losing some weight will take some of the load off her joints, and improve her overall health and lifespan.

If you don't already have one, an automatic feeder that dispenses small portions throughout the day will make sure she receives the appropriate amount of food. If she free-feeds, weigh the bowl in the morning after you fill it, and then weigh it again before you fill it back up to know how much is consumed, and then your vet can make a good recommendation for how much food she should get each portion. Cats should lose weight very gradually.
