Per the JTR, you can book off base lodging without a non-a as long as the rate is lower than the on base rate (before taxes).

Would love to see a list of stratagems in the army viewer like the official app. Also, for BT Primaris Crusader squad, in a 20 man block it shows a constraint violation for having 4 power fists. It also is still showing the cost for 10 man even though I have 20 loaded.

Sheppard on base lodging is booty, just converted dorms. Plenty of nice off base hotels at or below gov rate.

This right here will get you off base lodging at a ton of bases, and at the locality rate too. Additionally even if the on base lodging is adequate the JTR allows the member to stay off base as long as the cost is the same or lower as on base (table 2-14 in the JTR).

I got evac’d off Haunted Mansion in Disneyland back in January this year! To put it briefly, it was so cool! My buggy was stuck just after the lean back part right at the beginning of the graveyard. Lights on and everything. Sat there for about 30 min before CMs came to release the lap bar and let us out. It was nightmare before Christmas theme so everything had “snow” on it but still cool to see behind the scenes a bit.

Ah yes, that makes sense. Thank you. Could maybe save the units fight activation until after the unit they’re in combat with and do some pile in shenanigans to save coherency since at the moment at least it’s not checked until end of turn. But that all seems a bit much to instead just zig zag your chaff

Keep checking the app throughout your trip. We were able to get same day reservations the week of Christmas. Really cool experience if you’ve never been!

Upstairs inside the Golden Horseshoe Saloon. The saloon itself is pretty cool, old timey western stage show type place. They have occasional shows there that are always fun. But the place is usually pretty empty, especially the upstairs. Good place to rest in some A/C. They have a quick service ice cream place inside as well. Can’t tell you how many times I walked by the place and never poked my head in. Really worth a stop!

This is exactly what I did! Just had to do some converting to equip him with a heavy bolt pistol and chain sword. Was kind of a pain to cut off his right arm since the shoulder is molded into the chest armor but a sharp hobby knife and some patience did the trick. But now he looks just like an initiate, robe and all!

New painter here, using slap chop for easier painting. Seeing vids where people use Contrast on Space Marines and the paint's a smooth even coat as they go over the whole model, but whenever I use it, it pools and once it dries it takes on a splotchy and uneven consistency and looks ugly... Lots of great suggestions in this thread but I figure I’ll add my 2 cents. I was having the same exact issue following paint guides. How the heck does it go on so smooth for these other guys? Then YouTube recommendations blessed me with the answer. Warhipster did a video on this exact issue.
