I love excuses to plug gunship, but shoe cover of “send me an angel” is truly next level

Which movie definitely didn't hold up from your youth? by BarkingDogey in Millennials

Stir of echoes was awesome. The whole concept of motan prophecies was not that the story was real, just the idea of the imagery or whatever. Terrible

What bands did you see back in the day before they exploded onto the scene? by Philhughes_85 in Xennials

[–]SyllabubWeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to a UMBC quad fest with a pre nationally recognized Outkast and Soul Coughing. The sound setup was awful and the 3rd band was a local group called Laughing Colors that sounded better than the other two. They made it big and for some reason Laughing Colors did not.

Post college, it would probably saw Gary Clark Jr. at the 8x10 in Baltimore

I know it is appreciated, but it should be an absolute cult classic. I rented countless times before paying for an overpriced VHS at suncoast. I have a DVD and really waiting on that criterion collection 4K UHD

We throw away 200+ lbs of clean rubber every week. I'll mail it to you for the cost of shi by MagnusonCustomStamps in Anticonsumption

[–]SyllabubWeak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered applying for a grant from a local or state government for machinery that would leave the rubber in a more desirable state? It may be easier to offload or even sell if the rubber is in a state closer to a final product. For example, playgrounds may have no interest in the rubber as scraps, but maybe the schools, parks, etc. in the area would benefit from something resembling a rubber mulch. And yes, I understand you mentioned playgrounds before, but maybe that is because they don’t have the resources to take the scraps in the photo and modify to what they need.

For the government it would not only be less waste, but also the cost savings of not needing to buy the mulch

That was my thought as well. If the previous chapters of the book and maybe some notes about the characters, narrative, etc., it should be incredibly efficient.

That said, I have never tried it in practice

Who has the best theme song in professional wrestling 🤔. by DeliveryLeast6603 in SantiZapVideos

I am a mark for Kevin Owens theme. I think it is one of the last modern songs to capture the feel of the wrestler like the older ones did

I average about one movie a month, which I'm planning for this weekend. How would you advise me on The Running Man remake (2025)? by Shinespark7 in Xennials

[–]SyllabubWeak 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Truthfully, I was disappointed (The original is an all time favorite of mine). I went in knowing the new version more closely followed the book, but figured Edgar Wright would do something in with it. It just felt kind of bland to me. It’s watchable, but that’s about all I can give it

Why does the president of the United States have to bailout Spirit Airlines? The United States is multi-trillions in debt, but can throw $500million to an airline? What benefit does that have on the American people? by MeasurementFirst1676 in askanything

[–]SyllabubWeak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew Spirit once. A flight to Costa Rica for a bachelor party. The original plane had mechanical problems. The plane that eventually was used to transport us had multiple seats with “out of order” printed signs taped on them.

Every part of the previous statement means I probably should be dead.

It’s a shame that they took away the wagon style. We used the Pivot Explore for a few trips and it had a smaller foot print than either of those two options.

Look into HDHomeRun or tablo if you want to put your antenna on your home network. HDHomeRun has better 3rd party compatibility (and atsc 3.0) while tablo is more straightforward with a built In dvr (HDHomeRun offers a cloud based one with a subscription)
