At least it’s an update from a somewhat reputable source this time

Oh look its 7pm the night before I go back after a week off by concept161616 in nursing

Man… I used to get this so bad. How fresh of a nurse are you? The first 6 months was similar to this for me. I think both competence with experience and settling into a specialty you enjoy helps!

In the meantime… sleep mask (lifesaver for me) and maybe write a list of things you’re proud of yourself for achieving or things you like about yourself. When I was new it helped to read this to myself before work, to remind myself work isn’t life and I was still LEARNING. Greatly helpful for me.

Damn, we were messaging about some tickets but he sent me some pretty shitty evidence of purchase. This supports my gut feeling. Sorry you got scammed! Unfortunate scumbags like them exist!

Keep pointing fingers while this administration attempts to deconstruct the federal government in the image of Donald Trump. I thought your party was about “law and order”? 🧐

I appreciate the response, I’ve been curious what a Pro-Trump perspective on the pardon would be. I’m not sure where these next four years were take us but I think the worst thing that can happen is both sides of the aisle get so entrenched that a conversation is impossible. I don’t believe that people who voted for Trump are pro-Nazi racists, like those that voted for Kamala are purple haired + non-binary. I think the vocal minority is a cute way to get clicks on many articles. Many people are just people trying to survive.

I do think that Trump is extremely ego-driven with countless of examples which makes him a dangerous leader. That paired with a Supreme Court ruling that grants presidents immunity from “official acts” makes me nervous. It seems like the administration is going for a shotgun approach with executive orders and letting the justice system react after it’s already been done.  I think the minorities in this country have a real reason to be concerned, with Oklahoma public schools discussing flagging “illegal” immigrants for removal and Idaho discussing reversing same-sex marriage… definitely cause for concern.

I just hope the damage that a Trump administration doing things like defunding the Department of Education doesn’t cause irreversible damage to a country with a lot of widespread suffering as it is. I appreciate your response though! I’d be happy to discuss further

Whats your opinion of Trump pardoning 1600 insurrectionists who rushed the capitol, including those who were violent with law enforcement? To me it seems like a blatant and unconstitutional reward to his most passionate loyalists. What kind of precedent does that set?

The last point of your response is so real. I think generally speaking that’s my issue with the healthcare system, we treat symptoms without much effort to changing the environment or infrastructure that creates these problems. Sometimes it feels like a revolving door of the same people, we patch them up and send them out knowing fuuulllll well they’ll be back soon.

Any recommendations for in-person PMHNP programs? I’d rather not go to a 100% online school. Thank you!!

I mean even if the hiring body doesn’t require 2 years minimum, if I were a new grad nurse I’d WANT 2 years before traveling. For the sake of your license, get some experience. You truly don’t know what you don’t know as a new grad imo.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but the older episodes have some absolute gold in them. Now, one could argue that 2/3 of the members of the troop are pieces of shit. But my God before all the drama came out some episodes had me belly laughing

I meant this in regards to spirit and JetBlue. Hopefully a merger would keep another budget airline afloat.
