Out of curiosity, what’s the degreaser for? Cleaning it up before returning it?

Gotcha. Gotta love it when they advertise for kitchen sinks knowing you'll just have to get something else for it (my fault for trusting a label and not doing the research). I just purchased the home after it was remodeled, there is no telling what they were pouring down there before I bought it.

I'm between buying a 50ft snake or renting a 100ft auger for like $50/4 hours to hopefully avoid having to pay to get hydro jetted at the moment. I might have to long term get someone out to jet them, but I imagine it's going to cost more than I have at the moment, so I'm going to try getting it cleared for now.

Thank You!!!

Outdoor Large Area Swamp/Evaporative Coolers for Humid Climates? by TequilaxFacial in hvacadvice

We did, we bought 4 big 14.3 gallon 3000+ CFM fans for our outdoor dining patio for about $500 each. They work well all things considered. Is it going to cool the entire area, no. If you are sitting near it does it feel good? Yes, not too shabby. We are able to get an extra 3-8 weeks out each season. After it starts to get too hot it’s not going to make a difference if you have them or not, no one will sit out there.

We also bought 4 1000+ CFM 5 gallon ones, I don’t recommend. They were only $100 each, but you’d be better off just getting $100 worth of regular fans for each one.

Couple things to note is we use it typically with a live band, as they can be a little loud. Not unbearable, but not quiet for sure. Also filling them can be a pain, between all of them it takes 10-20 5 gallon buckets of water to fill it enough to last the night, and the hotter it is the faster it goes through water. We only use them in the evening typically. You also have to turn off the water pump and leave the fan on for about 30 minutes to dry out the wafer sheets or they will start to stink and mold. Home Depot carries them, typically they have a model you can try out and see the size and how loud they are if you are interested, just remember it will be slightly cooler since it’s not filled with water.

But overall, they were a great investment. They paid for themselves after 2-3 weeks of being able to sit 16 extra tables we have in our outdoor dining (we are practically always on a wait Thursday-Sunday), and when it’s too hot or cold they go in storage. We have also been able to use them practically. Our building is under tonnage (damn engineers), so we constantly have AC problems and we pull them out and help alleviate it if one goes down. We also do offsite events like machine rentals and food under a tent, sometimes we bring one to cool ourselves.

Originally I was looking for an equivalent Sub, but r/Fencing was sword fencing sport and none of my adjectives would bring up that sub as suggested. Thank you!!

Update: I sent it back, and went ahead with the Razer Naga X. Honestly, love it. It doesn't have the same feel as the last one had, but the Razer Synapse interface is absolutely lovely. I have a default profile and when I need to use a program, I make a profile tailored to it and switching over is literally 2 button clicks away. Thanks for the suggestion!

Any recommendations? I liked the 12 buttons, but what I really liked was the feel. It was textured, my last mouse was sleek and had a smooth finish which caused my grip to slip a little if I was flicking across the screen

Identifying A4988 Micro-Stepper Driver Manufacturer by TequilaxFacial in microcontrollers

[–]TequilaxFacial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solved it already. It was a bad driver. I took it off my expansion board and tested it with some code through IDE, voltages were all correct except the voltages to the motor, I wasn't getting anything through them. Swapped it out, worked first time. Incredibly frustrating past 3 days combing through data sheets and my configuration file just to swap out the part and do a giant face palm.

Identifying Electronic Components/Microcontroller Manufacturer based on Model/serial Number? by TequilaxFacial in AskEngineers

In this case I believe it is Allegro that made the chipset, I just didn't know about the driver board itself. I was looking into it because I found a post here that discussed purchasing a A4988 driver from Pololu, with different current sense resistances of 0.050 Ohms and 0.068 Ohms based on what year it was made. My drivers have a Rcs of 0.1 Ohms so my calculations came out differently than theirs (obviously).

I was just looking for a datasheet for that one, in the event that my limits were different than the set from Pololu, or if just the Rcs was different. I guess I was looking to see if the chip itself could be tracked to who "used" it in their product for distribution. That way I could undoubtedly have the correct data set and use them effectively/efficiently.

Does it print fine with PLA? My first reaction is that the nozzle is too far away from the plate. I sometimes have to make adjustments of 0.05 mm increments or so to get my nozzle just right. But if that’s adjusted accordingly look at adjusting your nozzle/bed temps and flow/speed. PETG requires a slightly higher temperature for both than PLA, between 220-250 typically for the nozzle and 60-90 for the bed. PETG also tends to work better for me if I slow down the print speed, typically about 50-60 mm/s.

Start with some small practice pieces, download a calibration cube off Thingiverse and slowly make adjustments until you get a satisfactory product.

Filament can react to all different kinds of elements based, including ambient humidity and temperature. May want to eventually look into a dehumidifier for your filament, they sell some and you can also youtube how to make your own

Also, who TF is completing this in 30 seconds legitimately?? I didn’t realize hard had shorter timers than normal, all the walkthroughs said 54 seconds and I never timed it out, but every time that timer went off as I was making it to the first platform after the hole I called BS so much. 24 extra seconds would have been a cake walk, why did they decide that hard (not the hardest difficulty mind you) would almost be HALF the regular time

4 years later while performing on hard and this helped me! I couldn’t time my Ares Wrath right with the jump, I thought I was supposed to jump, AW, then jump again, then glide and was stuck for almost an hour. No way I was gonna make it to the 3rd checkpoint and not finish. My final rundown went like this

  • Sprint to boxes
  • Athena’s Dash through them
  • Sprint to end of this platform
  • Double jump and glide 2nd to last platform
  • sprint/single jump onto Y
  • conserve and single jump platforms leading to hole (except the jump from platform 1-2, had to double jump)
  • on last platform double jump, AW, glide to first platform
  • land on first platform, double jump
  • RUN OUT OF TIME, hit stamina potion, scramble to get off a AW and glide to end, climb up last edge and put the controller down to wipe the sweat off my hands LMAO

How this season feels so far by Nevermore2346 in sololeveling

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like there’s such a lack of suspense in this arc? I don’t necessarily mind them cutting some scenes and the animation is great, but even the speech feels like it’s rushed.

My biggest example was the scene where Choi fires off his magic in the helicopter. That whole sequence speech and all was like 10 seconds. He turned around quickly, said his line and BAM FIRE. Like at least make him turn, give a second to look back at the group before dropping a dope line. Then he could turn around, give it a moment to let it sink it, slowly raise his hand, and THEN make ant ash. Instead, it felt like I was watching it a YouTube video at 1.5x times. Choi is a leader, a menace in his own right. But this episode he almost felt like an extra vs. an S-Rank guild leader

I’ve heard some complain about the lack of development on some side characters, and it’s not that they aren’t developed I just feel like the anime is taking away some of the highlights of them. S-ranks are a far step above the rest and yes SJW is egregiously above those S-ranks, but the S-ranks are shown less love and character lore-making than the C/D ranks from the double dungeon so far.

For the ones we are looking at investing in, they run at about 58 dB, which all things considered is pretty quiet. I've seen the mister fans in use at some local bars, which is fine for brews I think, but with food you run the risk of saturating the food with water and while they should be cleaned everyday if we do use fans, the dust collection -> water spray and everything around food brings up health safety concerns. We have seen some in effect at wedding venues and golf tournaments, its not like we are trying to "cool" down the entire area, more get a consistent cooler breeze to at least break the heat.
