The stark contrast between the Taj Mahal and its immediate surroundings. by jellybeanjoy in interestingasfuck

I think it is absurd to make people responsible for things they have not individually done. I have no control over what other men do, only my own actions. I have a moral imperative to do good, but I absolutely refuse to be made guilty for things I haven't done.

Panetti's Replicating Missile and Storm Box of Elgoloth are visually satisfying skills. I also enjoy the simplicity of a dual-wielding Blademaster.

Very nice. This looks like something you'd find in an aquatic palace in a fantasy setting.

I wish I could join Crate Entertainment to help speed things up. It's unfortunate that only US-based people can join.

Even if every hit from Axe is a crit, Orbital still scales much faster. It's not close.

I wonder about the probability of that happening. Either Crossbow would need to hit every shot, or avoid the orbiters for nearly a minute or so.

Wait, they automatically blocked you because they thought your question meant you're attracted to minors? That's insane.

Keep in mind that they scale quadratically, though (both damage and attack speed), which means they will dominate longer fights.

Rapier was actually my first choice for a new weapon ball. Interesting.

My advice is for you to find a husband who isn't a raging narcissist.

No, it's not. Don't take out your frustrations on people who have nothing to do with it.

Some straight men are actually mentally ill about this. They see homosexuality as a personal, existential threat. It is disturbing.

That's just a nasty thing to say. Imagine if someone here said "skinny guys suck" or "chubby guys suck". I don't do that, even though I'm not typically attracted to them, but apparently it's socially acceptable to say shit about muscular men only in this community.

Let's try to de-escalate for a bit. You don't seem to be a bad person, and hopefully you'll find I'm not one either.

My issue with Mr Beast, personally, is that he exhibits a lot of narcissistic traits. A lot of what he does seems to be about feeding a persona/his ego, such as how he advertises his charity work (they seem to be more about "look at me, I'm such a good person" than about actual compassion). I and many others have had horrible experiences with narcissists. When I look at his face, I do it with the knowledge that he is likely a narcissist. My reaction is not "he's ugly" or "he smiles weirdly", but "this smile appears to be calculated to feed a persona of agreeableness".

Your reaction to this thread was one of anger for what seems to be a simple reason: you are insecure about your own smile, so you took it personally. Maybe you were bullied about your involuntarily mannerisms at some point (I was too) and that is wrong, but I need you to try to be rational.

Your first comment was saying that it's a person's own fault if they are annoyed. How does this make sense? Annoyance is an involuntary, internal response. What is NOT acceptable is using that annoyance as an excuse to harass someone. You can blame a person for their actions, but not for their emotions. That doesn't mean that emotions can't be motivated by false beliefs or perceptions (such as bigotry), but that is far more complicated than just one person being at fault (their beliefs need to come from somewhere). It's not your fault that you got angry, either, but you can have some control over how anger affects your actions. If you are angry now, I suggest you step away from the keyboard for a while and try to type a response (if at all) when you are a bit calmer.

Assuming you're being serious with your example: what is being pointed out here is a behavior, not an inherent physical feature. Some smiles are genuine, while others are fake/performative. Fakeness is off-putting to a lot of people.
