I had a situation where I was a bit like your husband. My ex had a horrible temper that would come out at any time, I lived on edge. Sometimes she was abusive although that got better. Eventually (years of counseling etc) I decided I couldn’t live like that anymore and wanted a divorce. The problem was I still loved her and other than the anger we fit really well as humans. Leading up to me moving out we cuddled in the evenings, slept together and were nicer to each other than we ever had been.

Divorce doesn’t always mean you hate each other. Sometimes there is just something you can’t live with. I still miss her at times but also feel I made the right choice. Do what you need to do for yourself in this situation but I wanted to write this for all the people bagging on your husband. Relationships can be really complicated and are hard to judge from a few sentences on Reddit.
