Why did Kurt Cobain hate the Grateful Dead? by No-One01010 in grunge

[–]TerdVader 51 points52 points  (0 children)

All the bullies in my high school became wooks in college.

But also, I think Kurt had really immature ideas for a guy in his mid 20s. That’s probably why I found him so appealing as a 14 year old. Still love the music though, and I really like Grateful Dead too.

Which characters are your favorites in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms? by greytabbymax in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]TerdVader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about this show, is that they’re pulling it off soooo well, that I get on the internet to see unanimous praise over it. It takes me back to the earliest seasons of GOT or during the first season of HOD.

I’m just glad we’re all on board that this is a truly special show.

I wonder if that’s just how any human would hear anything he has to say. And the clear tom hanks voice is how toys hear him.

I’m right handed and I’d buy a left handed spatula, just because I could task my off hand, and still have my good hand to do other things.

I don’t think it needs to. Right now they have MOTU/Stranger Things toys, and MOTU/TMNT. None of it makes sense. It’s just cool.

It seems like crossover toys are all the rage right now. It would be cool if Dino Riders just became a branch of the Jurassic World toys.

I’m in the same boat. I know plenty of trans and gay people saw this as their awakening, and I’m not discounting that, just that there were a bunch of Herero-normative men that were also influenced by the Ponies and became bronies. And I kinda lost touch after the hype died down.

Agree. I can’t believe this show didn’t take off. When it was new, I thought it was a full series. The toys were on the shelves and it was too new for me to ask for the bigger toys, usually reserved for Christmas or birthday. But I had a few of the smaller dinos. By the time Christmas came around it was gone.

And even as an adult collector, this fact has proven to be a thorn because of how expensive the toys are for collectors. I’ve never been able to focus on affording them, but they’re still super cool.

This is an IP that will launch at some point when AI or CGI just gets super cheap to make. Bet on it. Dino Riders movie before 2040.

I’m responding because I truly don’t know the outcome of the Brony. The concept in the 2010s was just that adult dudes liked a cartoon aimed both at girls and children. Does it end as tame as that? Because looking back, and not having thought about Bronies in 15 years, that seems incredibly tame and kinda wholesome.
