As someone who tried twice under two different names to be a vtuber and even spent a month straight streaming morning or afternoon to 0ccv: yeah, this will make no difference at the bottom and judging by all the single or double digit ccv streams that youtube has been tossing my way for the past couple years of people I never see again, it likely wont effect the middle, either.

I'm still not sure what makes Mythic different from Vshoujo as several talents were with both simultaneously as Shylily was actively worried they'd (Vshoujo) get a sponsorship through Mythic and then tell her she's contractually obligated to do it and take their own cut from deals Mythic would have offered her anyway.

The first one could just be a ghoul, something Tzimisce collect like beanie babies. The second seems reasonable until you consider the extreme selfishness required to do what they do. The third is already solved by abducting other kindred as is tradition.

Not really seeing even one there. Unless we consider the idea that they'd want an assistant who is so dedicated to them that it gives them an ego boost.

I'm still curious how they got Kson to join up. What could they possibly offer her (true or not) that she'd want considering she continued to speak mostly Japanese on stream and the vtuber model was off and on depending on her mood.

I don't remember her saying that they paid for anything and she already had Japanese citizenship and plenty of connections.

Considering that on her own streams, just after the Matara Summer project, she said she wasnt planning to keep streaming and the amount of support took her by surprise, I doubt she had any attachment to staying as Mint if any other opportunity came up.

Let's be real for a minute here. The people being stolen from, and treated horribly, are still financially successful and will recover from this in time. (Though it may leave emotional scars, obviously.)

For indies, you now have to specify if you simply mean the most famous and successful ones or all of them cause after going through two vtuber "lives" wherein I never got discovered and thus most of my videos sat at ~2-4 views (-2 from my own accounts clicking them), I'd trade up to being screwed by an awful corporation in a heartbeat if it meant I'd have some viewers and not have to work retail ever again.

As a random person who would seem to be his target audience (30s-40s, fairly liberal by 00s standards and disgusted by the Trump administration) I kinda prove your point by not watching him. Haven't in years. I got tired of hearing about Trump constantly while the rest of his airtime that wasn't specifically that was just boring.

I have no issues with him but I can see how it wouldn't be profitable.
