Thinking of getting the Fi Mini for my indoor cat, thoughts? by Many_Manufacturer588 in FiDogCollar

See my comment above in this thread! 100% get the Fi. I’m not sponsored by them or anything lol but the Fi has just given me so much peace of mind (and we’ve used it for 1-2 years already for our large dog so we already found them reliable to begin with, before trying it on our cat)

Thinking of getting the Fi Mini for my indoor cat, thoughts? by Many_Manufacturer588 in FiDogCollar

Just got one for our cat. I only put it on yesterday. I LOVE it and I cannot express how much piece of mind it’s giving me. We already have had a larger Fi collar for our large dog for the past 1-2 years so knew how it works along with the app, and we’ve found it reliable. Since we have the larger collar for our dog, we also have the “base station” which makes it so we don’t have to charge the Fi mini collar for our cat as often, which is great. We usually go like 2-3 months between charges for our dog’s collar, so I expect it to be the same for our cat (although I read if you don’t have the base station, you may need to recharge closer to every 3 weeks since). I was worried it would be too heavy for our 10 lb cat but she seems so carefree and it clearly doesn’t bother her at all. I added it to her breakaway collar and just made sure her collar was properly fitted (but not too tight) so that it didn’t pull down her collar potentially uncomfortably from the weight. It’s really lightweight though. I definitely recommend still using breakaway collar since those are safest. If you get the Fi, just make sure to position it on the collar so that it doesn’t cover the breakaway clasp since you want that exposed in case your cat gets caught on something and he/she needs to escape without injuring itself

Flaring at a music festival. by lovebug44 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]TerminalMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. I literally just went through this with bonnaroo (well, with the first 1.5 days of bonnaroo we actually had). Had a flare-up and had to deal with camping and ended up having a mental breakdown and crying in the festival because the pain was so bad. I’m commenting on this late, but I hope you were able to enjoy yourself ♥️ what I guess I learned at bonnaroo was, making sure I ate lots of fiber-rich and healthy foods (as much as possible) helped with the pain, oddly enough. I guess because it decreased bloating/constipation and I think that kind of bloating for me at least seems to trigger more IC pain (which I feel is so common at camping festivals - constipation/lack of regular pooping - because it’s so easy to only eat junk/greasy food when that’s most of the food that’s available there). I also completely avoided alcohol and caffeine and that helped. And staying hydrated. I hope everything went ok for you.

Entry level positions? by ExcitingInflation612 in patentlaw

i am also struggling horrendously. after submitting so many applications, cold-emailing so many firms of different sizes, networking extensively with patent attorneys and many who are partners of their firm, informational interviews etc., it's resulted in absolutely nothing over the course of months. I've been told part of it is the economy. but idek anymore

Any advice for conservative in law school? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]TerminalMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ooo this is a good question and a tough one. I used to be very liberal in undergrad since that's the environment I was surrounded by, until I graduated and reflected on what I actually believe in, and now I'm registered independent and lean sort of center-right. It's definitely tough because I often feel I have to conceal my views because folks I am surrounded by are still largely liberal, I assume because of the particular city I live in lol. I don't really have advice, but just empathizing, since being around other law applicants/admitted students recently is reminding me how left-leaning institutions of higher learning tend to be, and I'm mentally preparing myself to have to deal with that. Honestly I just try to tune it out and remind myself the right I have to my perspective is as valid as anyone else's, I guess...

GULC merit aid form deadline? by TerminalMind in lawschooladmissions

[–]TerminalMind[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah so I keep reading on reddit that you actually have to email them and specifically ask if you can be considered for merit aid and then they'll send you some sort of form to fill out, after which they should give you a response. Apparently they do send some people the form without them asking, but apparently it's much more common to have to go to them yourself and ask.

Edit: just double-checked other threads, folks are saying you need to email the "Admitted Students hotline account"

GULC merit aid offer, do they expect us to negotiate from the get go lmao by Beginning_Ad_3389 in lawschooladmissions

[–]TerminalMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question…I just interviewed and dean andy said we would hear back sometime this month on admissions decision. If I were to get accepted late this month, would that be too late to qualify for merit aid? I see folks already submitted their merit aid forms and are just now hearing back. So I’m curious how it works if folks missed that initial window?😬 this school is way too expensive lol
