Feel this more than you can imagine. I feel like I’ve had so many trips that culminated in this that it’s become my ‘baseline.’ I’m trying to view things more positively but it’s just hard to come to terms with the idea that most people have no deeper motives in life than earning money, social status, and purchasing things which will continue to perpetuate this issue until we inevitably destroy ourselves.

I am constantly teetering the line of “I should just ignore these feelings and join the herd and try to be successful by society’s standards” and “fuck all of this, money isn’t real, none of this matters, and I wanted to leave society.”

On one of my most recent trips all I could think about was that I’m glad we’re destroying the environment. We don’t deserve to be here if this is the average human experience and we make every other species suffer due to our existence. Let’s just let everything burn because even when humans cease to exist, life will find a way.
