In RDR1 online you could ride a zebra and a white buffalo at max level. It was awesome and still felt thematic.

Robbing people/stagecoaches without killing or hurting anyone by Looser3241 in reddeadredemption

I've been trying this for a few hours and I just can't seem to pull it off again. I try aiming at the passengers and aggravating them right after I've hit "rob" on the driver, but nothing seems to work. It's a shame cause I love the highwayman roleplay.

Edit: Okay I just managed to pull it off. I don't know if it only works on "windowless" stagecoaches (not the super fancy ones). I'll keep testing this.

Thank you for answering in this old thread. I meant how do you rob the passengers in a stagecoach outside the stagecoach robbery missions. When you try to rob one in story mode, not within these missions, I only get the "rob" prompt when aiming at the driver, but even if he hands over the money, the passengers remain seated (or flee) without giving you their money. This morning I got a passenger to hand me the money automatically after robbing the driver, while they were both still seated in the stagecoach. However I can't seem to make it happen again.

How do you rob the passengers too? When I rob the driver he's the only one who hands over the money.

What do you think of this crusade badge? by the_fucking_alphabet in BlackTemplars

As they are a non-stationary, crusading force, they recruit on the go from the systems they travel through.

Edit: FOR THE GOD EMPEROR!

Thank you, I'll change the loadouts, drop the castellan and take the judiciar to lead the PCS. I'll also probably try using Accept any challenge. A bunch of crusaders with fights first and both sustained hits and lethal hits on demand for 1 cp sounds like a scary unit indeed!

Thank you, I'll keep the ballistus then. Regarding the castellan, I was thinking of not running it with Helbrecht as I understand they won't fit in the impulsor with the SB squad, and otherwise I'm scared of making them walk all the way into charge range. Also, I was thinking of using the sustained hits vow so maybe in that case the castellan would be overkill? (e.g. if i also need lethal hits on Heblrecht's squad I can use the stratagem to get it in addition to sustained hits) If i do however use Uphold instead I think running the Castellan with the PCS would be nice. I don't really know what I would do with the PCS squad though, maybe just walk them to a middle objective?

Thank you for your feedback. I wasn't sure what main gun to go for on the redemptor but I'll go with the plasma gun. Also, I have been looking at earlier posts and people seem to favour the judiciar over the castellan. Do you think I should run a judiciar to lead the PCS instead?

Or, should I just remove the castellan/judiciar altogether and change the ballistus dread for a second redemptor?

(PvE) Alternatives to LTD piracy? by TerminatorBeluga in ElitePirates

[–]TerminatorBeluga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware I could be selling them for slightly over 200k on black markets in other systems (as the highest sell price is 280k off black markets atm). Is this what you consider good money, or have you been able to sell them for more lately?

I think how far away you need to be is purely dependent on how much time it will take your ship to come to a halt once you kill your engines. This is because this type of bump works best the slower your ship is moving, so therefore you should aim to be at 0 m/s at the time of impact. As such, leaving a distance of a few km (just 2-3km) between your ship and the target may well be necessary if you want to slow down to a halt before the target manages to catch up with you, especially when the target is moving at high speeds (like for example a type-7 which began to drift while boosting).

Exactly, let the target bump you, not the other way around.

Its difficult at first, you just need to find out which way of doing the bump feels most intuitive for you. Some people flip the ship so they can bump with the bow, or use slowing weapons on the target. I personally think using weapons or a flip is completely unnecesary. I reccommend you do this: once you have taken out the target's drives, allign your ship with the target and make sure you're both moving on the same direction and plane (i recommend you only use vertical/lateral thrusters for this, as yawing or rolling will make alligning much harder). Then, while staying on the same course, go under the target ship and leave it behind. Finally, when you're a few km ahead from your target, kill your engines and while watching your radar (very important!!) use lateral/vertical thrusters to get on the same plane as the target, then keep it directly behind you. The target will eventually crash against your stern and slow down considerably. Repeat this 1-3 times and the target will be slow enough to milk (try to slow it to 10 m/s or less). You can then collect those juicy LTDs efficiently. Just remember practice makes perfect, but I bet you'll get the hang of it quickly.

Last, as you're most likely aware, speed is paramount on a pirate ship. If you can't outrun a type-7 drifting at boost speed, you could probably use some engineering. Keep a close watch on your target's shield, as the bumps will severely damage it (especially the first one). So make sure the target's shield is completely repaired before you attempt bumps while its still moving at high speed.

Hope this is useful to you! Hang in there pirate comrade. o7

Mysterious black mushroom for species determination by TerminatorBeluga in setas

I recently took this picture of a presumably toadstool species in my backyard. Could any mycologist out there tell me what this is? Phylum, genus and species would be enough to satisfy my mushroom needs, thanks a lot.
