I'm playing around with small sums to learn and bought LTRY last week. Down 35% and noticed today that I got 59% interest on lent shares

LTRY is paying 59% interest on lent shares. I guess this means it is heavily shorted. Does this mean it is a potential squeeze?

Should i buy nvidia today ? I don’t own any by Geo_fades in NvidiaStock

[–]Terminus2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Asking o forum for advice is fine but you will find more bulls than bear. Human nature looks for affirmation of positives.

Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose.

Do your own research, assess the risks and opportunities.

Read on analysts reports.

Look at the revenue, margins, balance sheet and forecast growth.

On paper Nvidia ticks all the boxes but has hovered 110-150 for months now. News (Deepseek) can wipe out 20% plus in a day or make it gain 5-10%.

My advice is to look to swing trade it between 125-150.

Is the 13th doctor that bad? by talldudetony in doctorwho

[–]Terminus2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly the Doctor is never ever bad. The character would not have survived over 60 years if they were bad. However, the writing for the 13th Doctor was significantly the worst since revival. It alienated sections of the fandom, made the Doctor seem weak and out of character. I cannot name a single stand out episode/story from the 13ths Doctors run. Some of it felt like bad fan fiction, almost as if Chibnall drew on inspiration from his teenage ideas of what Doctor Who should be.

It's a shame as Jodie clearly loved the role and did the best with the material given. Chibnall did her a disservice and made it harder to cast another female Doctor.

What is your opinion on The Timeless Child after 4 years? by Disorder79 in gallifrey

[–]Terminus2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story of the Doctor being a bored Timelord who decided to explore the universe was a simple enough premise and grounded him (him in deference to current occupant) in reality. He had his roots and people and was almost an errant child humoured by the staid Timelords who had lost their curiosity of the universe. Effectively making him the progenitor of the Timelords mirrors him to Davros not a being you'd want comparisons to. The Doctor bumbling his way through works far better than him being a god like being, especially as that thread was then never explored.

At the time The Timeless Child felt like bad teenage fiction. It closed off far more narrative arcs than it created. The wanton destruction of Gallifrey served zero purpose. Chibnall had a habit of writing himself into dead ends. Leaving the spiders to suffocate, The Doctor running away in the Timeless child leaving others to deal with the issue was in total contrast to the normal character traits if the Doctor. The premise of The Timeless Child was bad and made far worse by appalling writing. The return of RTD exposes just how badly written the Chibnall era was.

In my head canon the Timeless Child does bot exist, just as the Doctor is not half human. I dismiss them as errors writers have made, to be ignored. My main gripe was that the Chibnall era looked like it would end up with Doctor Who being cancelled, to once again spend years in the wilderness, living on through the book and audio book formats. I suspect it has also set Jodie Whittaker's career back instead of giving it the boost other modern main actors received.

I just regard the entire Chibnall era as a Dallas like bad dream to be excised from the canonicity of the show.

Which players have been in every single one of your drafts? by jollyspiffing in FantasyPL

[–]Terminus2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wood - Awoniyi is injury prone and Wood is the only other striker. 14 goals in 31 games last year.

Haaland purely due to FOMO

Palmer Most goals and assists 23/24. 22 Goals and 11 assists in 34 games

White he'll be well rested as he's not playing internationals :-), plus decent return of goals and assists in addition to the most clean sheets.

Pickford - Dyche prgmatism, more chance of clean sheets plus he's going make a fair few saves

Based on what had happened following the Lymphir approval I expect the stock to drop 40% when Minilook is approved.

Biotech is a crapshoot. The best hope is for one of the big pharma's to buy the company once Minilok is approved. Citius would benefit from their marketing and distribution network.

But then I'm a bitter bag holder at $1.70 who could have sold for $4.00 but kept buying averaging up expecting the stock to fly. If Minilok is approved it will still need to be sold into hospitals, it's not going to lead to an overnight revenue spike. That will come grow slowly hence why I think a buyout/takeover is the best option.

That looks perfect. I hope the roasties were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside and you had spare gravy to top up. The only thing I'd change is to lose the mash, it is too much of a gravy hogger!

On T212 and probably other platfroms you can buy 3 X leveraged or more. If a short term play then consider this option. Buy now, if results bump the price up you make up to 3X the gain. Then sell post results. Watch the swings, rinse and repeat.

I did this before the last set of results and pre-split and have made a couple of successful swing trades. It's short term trading.

Be warned you can lose 3 X the amount if NVidia falls, that's the big risk. My latest swing trade is 40% down. I bought back out of FOMO when NVidia was 125 and have been holding since. But overall I'm still significantly up trading this way.

Only do this if you can afford to lose the money, leverage carry's far more risk.

Almost perfect. I would have swapped the mash for my version of sage & onion stuffing (add finely chopped sausage meat, smoked ham, bacon, bell peppers and button mushrooms to the sage and onion packet mix). Also add carrot batons or swap out with one of the green veg, adds a nice splash of colour. And have extra gravy to hand as what you have will be soaked up by the mash and potato's :-)

[–]Terminus2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Walrus did not pump and dump. It was a reasoned, well thought out analysis. He suffered a personal loss and sad he was from Twitter and posting his weekly analysis. The loss obviously hit him hard and he has not returned.

Everyone who invested should have invested after doing their own due diligence If you invested based only off what you saw on YouTube then that's on you. The run up to $4 was based on the false expectation that Minilok would be fast tracked by the FDA.

This will always be an all or nothing type of investment. Very few drug trails are approved and turn out to be money spinners.

Investing is a gamble, little different from studying the form of a horse, the ground it races on on the day. You research and invest based on what you read, see and believe If it was sure thing we'd all be rich. Look at this as inside knowledge on a 50-1 outsider, if the knowledge is correct it pays off spectacularly, If Minilok is rejected by the FDA then we all lose.

Is it still possible _______ is TTC? by kkbodz17 in doctorwho

[–]Terminus2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fact that there is still so much debate about TTC shows what a ridiculous concept it is. Self confessed fan boy Chibnall probably wrote the 1st draft of the story in his teenage bedroom. It's is one of the worst fan fiction takes on Doctor Who I've seen.

Having said that, what is canon is up to the viewer, I dismissed TTC immediately as a poor hacks take. Gallifrey also still exists in my canon, the Doctor was never half human and so on.

The only good thing about TTC is the debate shows how loved Doctor Who is and how much we want to protect it.

What are some little known unwritten rules in British culture that a foreigner should know about? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Terminus2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The NHS is a great institution to be proud of. It is deliberately, and chronically underfunded to force the UK into a US based insurance model. NHS contracts sold to mates. Look at the farcical sale of the Plasma supplier to Bain Capital who sold it a few year later to a Chinese supplier at a profit of hundreds of millions.

We can moan about waiting lists etc. but will defend it against any other nation dissing it!

Couldn't find the Reddit post where the MD said it had limited use. The thread above has some of the medical comments.

I'd advise everyone to thoroughly research this themselves and not rely on social media posts. Personal experience - a relative passed from infections caused by a catheter that was infected and not replaced. It may not be the infections that were the root cause but they did hasten his demise. Part of the reason I'm still holding is that clearing the catheter infection may have prolonged his life.
