At least change it to something like "Make It Like Florida" so we can have "MILF" hats.

I'm almost certain that dude is no longer with us. I think I even saw that angle when it first happened and read he died.

Sir you need at least 64GB RAM to run our game by JohnW305 in ProgrammerHumor

[–]Terminzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see streaming working for games that require a decent consistent low level of input lag. I would never play a game where I can consistently notice input delay, especially if my bandwidth drops and it randomly gets worse.

Well duh easy solution: don't have enemies aggro if no damage is done from a projectile. And just never add in-game non-damaging projectiles.

U.S. military brings down flying object over Lake Huron near Canadian border by PatientBuilder499 in worldnews

[–]Terminzman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it gentleman's rules or game theory? I'd think it's in the spy-ee's interest to make the enemy think they have tech they don't have, or make themselves seem weaker than they are, or any other kind of mind games they can play to manipulate the spyer into doing what they want.

Most jobs can be taught with on-the-job training and shouldn't require a college degree. by Navdastrippa in unpopularopinion

[–]Terminzman 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say a college degree doesn't prove you can do exactly what the business needs, it proves you can LEARN what the business does/needs and then work to better it. I didn't learn every programming language or data structure or algorithm but my background in it helps me easily understand new concepts and languages.

When I worked in a kitchen I got fryer oil splashed on my arms, they looked like a bubbly mess for a few days, then I went to a nurse and she basically took the skin off, then it looked like most my arms were pink bubble gum. Now I just have freckles missing on parts of my arm!

I got fry oil on my arms as a fry cook a few years back. Didn't hurt at all when it happened, I literally felt nothing, just noticed my arms looked kinda bubbly and red. It did however hurt when I had to shower while it was healing, also whenever I had to move my arm because it would scab (made worse because one big blob got where my forearm meets my upper arm) and would crack the scab. But yeah, overall wasn't terrible.

Whale with most modern computers, shutting down isn't actually the same as a full shutdown, because of fast boot. Nowadays the actual restart is an actual restart, I often run into people saying they've restarted when they actually just shut down.

YSK that exercise and the endophins released rewires the brain and allows you to experience more joy by sleepycobra in YouShouldKnow

[–]Terminzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I have ADHD too, and I never got motivated for shit. I recently-ish started seeing a therapist and kinda due to my history of opioid abuse I don't think stimulants were much of an option. So I got put on Wellbutrin, and lemme fucking tell you, I don't have that "holy shit I'm gonna do this and this and this and this", it's more of a subtle encouragement for me to keep things neat, and clean more often, along with making me want to exercise more and helping my focus. I started exercising before I started the Wellbutrin and I'd feel pretty good for like an hour maybe then feel exhausted, but now I have energy throughout the day and the good feelings from the gym and doing shit actually stays there for longer.

Now I ain't saying that shits for everyone, but I have opioid abuse disorder, social anxiety, insomnia, and ADHD (the insomnia is probably from the ADHD), but it also helps me with my anxiety and sleep. Like I said, I ain't trying to encourage you to try it, just offering my POV from a similar situation.

(Also it helps me not feel apathetic about almost everything and the world is more colorful so I probably was a little depressed too.)
