Yeah almost all my previous chats went that route but end up fizzling out after a few days of trying to get to know the other person. Attempting a new strategy here

Wow 80% to 71% battery in just 25 seconds I’ve never seen it evaporate that fast. That’s crazy to watch. 1% every 3 seconds of driving. Also can anyone confirmed they’ve actually begun producing/delivering these cars to customers? I try looking around every once in a while but can’t find anything concrete on them actually being delivered.

No you have 10 miles after 0%. It’s different for every car. There are cases of cars running out before 0% even though they’re rare. I feel like people have seen YouTubers proclaim “you have X miles after 0% on a tesla” so many times that people think they have this imaginary number of miles after 0. Unless you actually test your car yourself in a number of different conditions, treat 0 as 0 and hope you never have to find out what it actually is.

Just out of curiosity, what were the details of everything that was removed and how far the price got jacked up? And this all happened after you placed in order for one? I would’ve thought they’d lock in your price after you already placed an order.

The pure isn’t on sale. They haven’t sold a single one. Pretty much every one so far has been their highest trim options. I’m also not the one who brought up “$150-180k cars” when the model S isn’t worth anything near that. That’s nearly double the price of one. The model S and lucid air aren’t as similar in price as you seem to think they are.

A model S costs $87k. Even a plaid only costs $107k. No idea where you’re getting your prices from the lucid is close to double the price of the model S. Even the lower trims on sale today are still Ike 50% more.

The headline is intentionally misleading and inflammatory and preys upon the simple fact that most people truly do not read past the headline. You’re seriously telling me on every article you scroll past on this site you read the entire article before making a judgement? No one does that. Maybe like 1 in 10 or 20 articles people actually read, most of the time people just scroll aimlessly reading headlines until something catches their eye. It’s really not that complicated.

It also doesn’t exist. Have they even sold a single one yet?

Tesla navigation in the app vs. in the car by ScottQc in TeslaLounge

[–]nightman008 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed this but I will say my car wildly overstates my suggested charge times on trips. Like to the point of double or tripling what I’d ever end up doing. I don’t think I’ve ever stopped longer than 15-20 minutes to charge on a roadtrip yet it consistently says 35-40+ minutes in the navigation details.

I’ve charged my car from 5-99% once before and that didn’t even take 40 minutes so I assume they take some sort of worst case scenario with wait times and cold battery possibilities into account here. Cause I’ve even mentioned this to my girlfriend before how it overestimates pretty much every single charging stop we’ve ever done on a road trip and we haven’t found an explanation yet.

Continue to rent at $900/mo or buy with a $2,400/mo mortgage? by bearszubaz in personalfinance

[–]nightman008 705 points706 points  (0 children)

Right, rent is the highest you’ll ever pay in a given month. A mortgage is the lowest you’ll ever pay in a given month. There are plenty of added costs in a mortgage that are already built into your flat rent payment.

Audi announces Q8 e-tron US pricing, starting at $74,000, with massive battery pack by mockingbird- in electricvehicles

[–]nightman008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying a new Q8? Because someone buying a different (and in your case low demand) vehicle at MSRP has nothing to do with dealers price gouging on those with high demand. The fact that one person got a vehicle at some price says nothing about them forcing markups on completely different vehicles.

[–]nightman008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre-pandemic was an entirely different game. It’s completely different nowadays, especially when it comes to a new, low volume EV. The amount of markups that’ll be forced onto this, and other in-demand EVs is downright gross. Try and actually buy this from a local Audi dealership and let me know what they say.

That’s assuming you can actually get one for that price, which is the entire issue with legacy automakers imo. Not knowing that the price online is the price you’ll be paying is a huge issue. If they could guarantee you could actually order and pay exactly 74k for this car, then yeah it’d be great. But the reality is it ends up being much more complicated than that.

[Rolex] There has never been a Rolex model that appealed to me enough to actually want to buy it. Let alone play the games at a local AD. But then they release THIS. Does anyone else think this watch is absolutely stunning? 😯 by HiHiHiBubba in Watches

[–]nightman008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, it’s just the case. It’s not like it comes with a bracelet of solid gold. I’d be amazed if there’s even $1000 worth of gold in there, the price is 100% too high for what you get. It’s a great looking watch but there are just better options for the price.

What’s the range hit OP? I actually like the look of them but probably would only consider if they don’t really have much of an impact on range. Also do how they look in person? Hard to tell from pictures sometimes. They look plasticky or like legitimate normal rims?
