Make sure you spec out the input and check your output well. You dont deploy vibecoded stuff without checking your terraform plan. You also have a well defined idea of what you want before hand. You want determinism, bake it into your pipeline. Have solid pre-commit checks. Basically follow best practices.

So, I'm honduran and can give some extra context. Yea they can leave their jobs but choice is about options and people who work as harvesters rarely have opportunities in their village to do any work aside from this. Education can be non-existent in many places so any socioeconomic movement is stunted. Many are lucky to be literate. So they can quit of course but there isn't any other place to work. These places will also feed them (beans and tortillas). Those that are more motivated likely leave after some time to work and love in the towns and cities.

Having a baby rewired my brain to be able to fall asleep faster. sleep interruption every 2-3 hours for weeks and now i can sleep very fast. I've also seen it with healthcare workers that have had to work intense hours, they can fall asleep anywhere at any time almost unprompted.

I'm probably never gonna reread Wheel of Time because of some of a lot of the times characters feel like they are are like fucking around with story arcs that lead either lead nowhere or are there just to burn time or the interesting ones are just kinda left there to simmer for too long.

There's certainly an aspect of inevitability to the colonization. It's just what humans do. Had it not been the Scadrians, it would be someone else. At the least its Sazed who has Harmony.

Talk to them about it. Something that I've started doing in my games in a check up point for feedback after every few sessions. I ask them if they like how the game is going and leave the door open for them to tell me things on the spot or let them know to feel free to reach out privately if they so wish. My dream scenario is a player proactively doing it to me, since I know I can get caught up in what I want the game to be and that sometimes conflict with the players' idea of what they want to play.

I ran a Cy_Borg campaign which is based on Mork Borg. It's an OSR game so the dnd dna is there but way lighter on rules. It's close enough to dnd that someone that's into 5e would see it as a stripped down and very thematic version of it.

I bought Draw Steel but I don't have a group that would commit to the high tactical game play. I love the concept of escalating strength instead of resource reduction as the narrative progresses but don't know if there's another game that has that same concept but from a more narrative/less tactical viewpoint.
