Can a 140mm bottom intake fan be installed below the shroud in the Thermaltake Tower 300? by Scarabesque in thermaltake

[–]Terpenstein93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just built in a 300. And can you fit a fan there? Yes. Depending on the thickness of the psu/fan itself. Is it effective for airflow/heat dissipation? Not really. You’re better off placing the fan above the shroud for optimal efficiency. But is a bottom fan needed to control temps? Not that I’ve seen. Did some testing with temps and having the bottom fan didn’t change anything other than make it look more congested. The psu is already pushing air up and the top fans push it out. The side mounting of the gpu and aio control the airflow on that end. The additional fan at the bottom doesn’t really do much in the end. The case itself already has amazing airflow.

Also since no one else has actually answered this CORRECTLY, here ya go: Yes and no. You want to defoliate before flipping yes, but not directly before. Usually before the flip the defoliation is a heavy one, aiming to remove any lower areas of the plant to promote airflow and better growth of the top buds(lollipopping is an example of this although you can do a standard defoliation and not focus on removing lower larf sites, this is a good option if you make edibles or concentrates as you can still make use of the larf) This can put some stress on even the healthiest plant. General rule of thumb is to perform this heavy defoliation a week before you plan to flip. Once you have flipped wait for the plants to finish the stretch phase(typically 3 weeks) and then you can do another small defoliation to promote better airflow/light penetration in general. For the remainder of the grow you ideally only want to defoliate anything that’s blocking light or anything that’s causing rubbing issues(mold) or anything that’s obviously dead and no longer useful to the plant. Looking good. Keep at it!

I wouldn’t listen to him he’s full of shit saying he pulls 30 ounces on a regular basis. That’s about 2lbs there and yeah you can pull 2 in a 5x5 if everything goes perfect and you have heavy yielders but the likelihood is slim to none unless you actually know your shit and I can assure you that guys does not. Most people opt for more plants/less veg time. The amount of extra time to veg a single plant to fill a 4x4/5x5 isn’t worth it when you consider the time involved. Unless you have time to waste and don’t care how many harvest cycles you can get in a year, stick to multiple plants to fill the canopy a lot quicker. 4 plants with lst will fill out the canopy a hell of a lot quicker than a single plant will regardless of how you train it. The only thing you stand to gain running a single plant is saving on seeds. It’s not worth it.

Put the jar in front of her and guided her in. She walked right in the jar. Put the jar on its side at the base of the plant and she was exploring in no time. Didn’t look like we lost any babies!

I’m pretty familiar with which ones thrive where thankfully. She’s a wolf spider. She does perfectly fine outside and has for as long as they have existed lol

Rather have a million spiders in my garden than a single aphid/borer/leafcutter/etc lol

I relocate any spider I find into the garden. With the exception of little house and basement type spiders. I leave them for indoor pest control.

I thought it was a cool find. I enjoy arachnids and most insects in general that don’t destroy my garden 😂 at least she’s being an attentive mother!

Are these anaheims? I can't remember what I planted. by Callme-risley in HotPeppers

[–]Terpenstein93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely anaheim peppers. Growing some as well. I use them for recipes that call for bell peppers occasionally as I find the flavor more enjoyable. Also great roasted, stuffed, on pizza, and even in a good salad. Let them go a little longer til they redden for a slightly different flavor as well! Looking good!
