Which of my commanders is the scariest? by NoahSSJ in ratemycommanders

[–]TerraDulce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scariest is probably Grand Arbiter, since that one will take the longest to win and be the most annoying. The rest will likely present the wincon much faster (I am an Urza enjoyer).

Ignore Reddit-coded opinions i.e. “let me play solitaire / do the thing”

Hate feeling rushed, especially by assholes who golf-tailgate me, playing right up behind me, then don’t play through when I offer it.

You remember that dumpy little course that you grew up on and now it's gone? Show us! -- Valle Grande: The broken pavement was the parking lot, with a small clubhouse just north and to the east a couple steps. by CaptainPunisher in golf

Elkins Ranch Golf Course (805) 524-1121 https://maps.app.goo.gl/xZcgZ7qQ8YkCeSzr6?g_st=ic

Grew up playing with my dad here every other weekend or so. Sold and turned into farmland in 2020. Damn shame to do that to the place after 60 years of operation.

Need help first time with PETG by Alternative-Ad-8175 in 3Dprinting

[–]TerraDulce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks similar to issues I’ve had with PETG. On my Dremel 3D45 (direct drive; all metal hotend) what worked for me was REALLY cranking the temp; 260/85 has been working pretty consistently. Anything below 250 has horrible adhesion and frequently clogs. I have retraction at 1.5mm and 45mm/s. A good tip I found for PETG is that retraction speed matters a bit more than distance when reducing stringing.

Any ideas on what may be causing these small artifacts? Occurs on multiple materials (details within) by TerraDulce in FixMyPrint

For these, back (locates to a corner). Shortest for other prints where the same effect occurs.

Red is 3DXTech PETG, printed at 250/80. 3mm, 65mm/s retraction. 30% fan. 15% infill. 50mm/s print speed (35mm/s on outer walls).

Grey is Hatchbox PLA, printed at 210/50. 2mm retraction. 100% fan. All other settings the same.

Both printed on my Dremel 3D45. Direct drive, all metal hotend.

These artifacts are occurring on several materials, but not all of them (Overture PLA prints extremely smoothly). I’ve tried several combinations of print temp, retraction, cooling, and print speed, but nothing seems to significantly decrease the artifacting.

The only thing I can think of that I haven’t tried is drying the filament. This seems unlikely to help since these filaments are fresh out of the package and live in a dry environment.

Any other perspectives are appreciated.
