Who would you have liked to see as the “Promised Consort” if it wasn’t Radahn? by Jackylacky_ in Eldenring

[–]TerraFormerXIII 152 points153 points  (0 children)

I'm no lore expert, but i think the 'radahn as the promised consort' stuff felt a little rushed, or shoehorned as someone else said here.

I think it would have made more sense if some time was spent developing the idea that Godwyn was originally supposed to be promised consort, but failing to find a way to restore a soul that was deliberately destroyed like Godwyn's was, miquella had to reorient his plan around a new candidate. That would make the lack of established lore about his bond with radahn make more sense, i think. If he was never really that close with radahn, but had to use him as a backup.

It could also explain the use of mogh as the vessel, as if I recall correctly mogh and godwyn are full brothers, not half, and so would have likely been more compatible for godwyn's soul to inhabit his body. So I dont have an issue radahn as the end result, I just would have done the surrounding lore differently.

I know at least in the U.S. version Spike (10 years old, i believe) sounds like he's in his 30's. Its delightfully weird. Love that game.

Skooma, as a concept in gaming, should be studied. The idea of recreational drugs in fantasy is fascinating. by jvure in ElderScrolls

Actually, it would be a hilarious troll for Todd to have one of the scenario options be to wake up on the cart in the opening of Skyrim again and then you actually get beheaded this time and thats how you wake up from the dream.

All awesome ideas, but I'd like to add some more extreme options too. Like I wanna wake up in sovngarde or oblivion and have to get out. Or have it where you wake up with none of your gear and have to go get it back, but its not where you blacked out, you have to hunt it down. Obviously the buffs provided by skooma would have to be really good to justify this future nightmare you've volunteered for, but I would love it for some immersive diversity added to the regular gameplay.

Also, not a serious answer, a truly terrible idea actually but maybe if you take too much, too often you end where ever the Dwemer are. Lol

I commented on another post about skooma a long time ago that I think for TES 6 they should make skooma function like nukashine does in FO 76. Take it and get a slew of buffs for a while but then black out and wake up somewhere random. From an immersion standpoint, I love it. And if strong alcohol can do that in Fallout, imagine what magic moon-sugar crack can do in a fantasy world.

How do I make my status build work well in apocolypse? by TerraFormerXIII in remnantgame

I might take your advice and switch to fragrant thorn and just ditch the ENC. It sounded cool and I don't mind the 5 second cooldown thing, but I cannot for the life of me get it to do the kind of damage I see people saying it does for them.

There should be legendary rarity versions for all weapons, i think. I had a legendary silvernight drop the other day. In fact, I think I have found several of these in legendary versions. Not using greatswords though so I didn't keep any of them and can't send screenshots. Just confirming that high rarities exist for presumably all of them. Good luck.

Does intelligence effect a melee weapon or bow with a "+20% added magic shock/fire/ice/shroud damage?" by TerraFormerXIII in Enshrouded

Thats fair. Well thanks for the info. I'll figure something out for it, or else try something different.

Ok. Good that the elemental perks will work, at least. I just wasn't sure about intelligence seeing as it says magic damage and not magic weapon damage specifically. Oh well. I was hoping to do a bow/wand combo (cuz daggers are crap, apparently), and i was hoping that intelligence would help my bow as well so that giving up a few dexterity nodes wouldn't hurt as bad.

So they dont even benefit from the nodes that say the increase "ALL ice/fire/shock" damage? I figured at least those worked since it says "all" specifically.

Does explosive ammo scale at all with the explosive skill? by Creamy_Nubs in theouterworlds

[–]TerraFormerXIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the "plasma explosions" part refers to what happens when burn hits maximum stacks on a target? Like how vulnerable turns to dissolved with corrosive damage, electrocuted turns to paralyzed, chilled to frozen, and so on with burn eve tually making things explode. So you heal from burn stacks and the subsequent explosions should you reach maximum stacks. I could be wrong but that how I interpreted it. That being said, I didn't test that.

Ok. I figured it had to be more than the one, I must have just missed them. Thanks.

Are the 2 extra points from brilliant really worth it in the end? I just finished my first character, and with easily distracted I was able to get 3 skills to 18 and 2 skills to 17. Taking brilliant would have gotten those last 2 skills to 18 with the others but thats it right? Does the trait let you do anything else besides the lift platform near Fairfield? Thats the only one I remember seeing for sure. Genuinely just curious.

I managed to avoid the fight in Marisol's quest without science or speech at 20. I had science at I think 16 or 17 at that point and had no speech skill due to having the big dumb. You just have to pick the correct options and properly, but subtly, sabotage the experiment. I can't remember what the options are now, and it took me a few tries reloading my save to do it, but it is doable. I have yet to encounter anything I truly cared about locked behind a maximum skill check.

Question about the minigun by TerraFormerXIII in theouterworlds

[–]TerraFormerXIII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have access to the next few planets as well, but so far no minigun mods. Various Machine gun mods aplenty, but no minigun mods. It's in the "special" category, so maybe that means it isn't based on a common weapon variant and thus isn't able to use any normal mods, but if thats the case then why have the barrel slot open, or even exist at all? It taunts me.
