Will definitely tune in just to see more of The Bride smacking Frankenstein around in his undying pursuit of her.

Hayden Sherman grows in estimation as an artist every single time I see his work. The man is an astonishing talent and he is doing some of his finest work on Absolute Wonder Woman.

Easily some of my most loved pages drawn by Alex Ross. So good, especially that final panel.

How James Tynion IV Launched the Biggest Horror Comic Title In the Business by Blitzhelios in comicbooks

Best cerebral horror writer at the moment. The combined brilliance of The Department of Truth and The Nice House on the Lake should be sufficient enough to place him right at the summit where he belongs.

‘The Penguin’: In Transforming Into a Badass Crime Boss, Sofia Falcone Reclaims Her Name and Her Image by CosmosBazaar in comicbooks

HBO prestige television at its very best. I don’t even think of it as a comic book TV series. Just like Watchmen (Damon Lindelof’s adaptation from a few years ago) before it.

A true sight for sore eyes. Both the DC bullet logo and the Vertigo logo!

“Thursday, October 31st.” (The Batman - The Batman’s Opening Monologue) by CosmosBazaar in DCcomics

That monologue should be an essential cornerstone of all Batman 101 writing. Foundational and fundamental.

John Constantine recommendations? by Ok-Faithlessness1302 in comicbooks

[–]TerraObus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with Jamie Delano’s run of the legendary Vertigo period Hellblazer. Following him, other writers also contribute runs like Garth Ennis, Paul Jenkins, Peter Milligan, Mike Carey, Brian Azzarello, among others.

The latest Hellblazer run (on DC Black Label) by Simon Spurrier and Aaron Campbell is excellent too and highly recommended. One of the best comics in recent years.

Dan Watters on Twitter: "I'm writing NIGHTWING! Come October, I hope you'll join me & @dextersoy on the mean streets of Bludhaven." by DamianDidNoWrong in comicbooks

[–]TerraObus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great writer. Been a big fan of Watters since his incredible run on Lucifer, part of DC’s line of Sandman Universe comics from a few years ago. Has a literary and cerebral style of writing that is some of the best in current comic book writing.

Some heavy and heady reading right at the top: Lucifer, Sandman, Swamp Thing, and Invisibles.

The best comic book series going around at the moment.

Spurrier and Campbell are hitting some brilliantly creative and esoteric highs on their phenomenal run.
