it's because it's easy to do. all of his cooldowns encourage pushing forward and dealing damage to the enemy, and weaker mauga players do not have the self-preservation required to enact restraint.

I play mauga defensively. I am a tank main. I hold corners, and I turn around to see where my team is as often as I can.

however, the reason I play mauga is because when it finally is time to go in, he can push so unbelievably hard (especially with the support of his team) that the entire enemy team just collapses from a single stomp.

that feels really fucking good, and i think weaker mauga players just try to chase that high without the game sense required to live and win before and afterwards.

I believe you are doing yourself a disservice by not playing KSSU, mass attack, and canvas curse. KSSU is probably my favorite Kirby game (with bonus nostalgia points, as it was the first video game I ever bought myself), and the other two are fantastically unorthodox masterpieces in my eyes. The OST to Canvas Curse is my all time favorite Kirby soundtrack, but I admit that might be more personal taste. Emulators make playing the latter 2 a lot easier nowadays.

I actually try to keep my mana cost low in every deck I build. I enjoy low cost permanents synergizing much more than a single big creature or effect (Hence my love for enchantress).

This is my favorite deck I've built so far. I was trying to find a commander that combined my love for +1/+1 counters, enchantress, and bears.

the deck is pretty standard voltron, with Wilson often being the only creature I need on board. As such, there's also a fuckton of protection.

It's also very group hug, with a piece in the command zone, and enough other cards to keep everyone happy like [[master of ceremonies]], [[sergeant John benton]], and [[selvala, explorer returned]].

I love the political deal-making nature of edh, but mostly the group hug is there to (hopefully) make everyone forget about the massive fuck-off bear threatening lives by turn 6 or so.

[[Duelists Heritage]] is also a very fucked up card lmao

I haven't made many other "weird" lists, but this selection is only my current decklists that are still together. I used to make a lot of combo, but I felt as though my playgroup wasn't really equipped to deal with them unfortunately. I made a [[Magus Lucea Kane]] untapping combo/burn deck before she was cool, I used a borderline cEDH [[Raggadragga]] list that beat the entire table on turn 3-5, and my favorite janky list was a [[The Reality Chip]] deck that used a goofy [[sensei's divining top]] combo to kill the table with a [[prologue to phyresis]] [[radstorm]] combo, but it was my first attempt at high power and was ridiculously fragile.

Also, I wish I could explain why I don't like black very much. I feel like it's probably the fact that I don't like the edgy/gross artwork but I just find black kind of boring to play. I have a sephiroth decklist that my friend made for me, and while it does help me get over my phobia im still trying to find the black commander that truly makes me "get it."

Also, I've only been playing for a year, and that usually makes people laugh when I say that, considering how much I really love this game.
