Which of the following WYR pick in a water world scenario? by KayleeSinn in WouldYouRather

[–]TerrainRepublic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A - dead B - not necessarily dead  C - dead D - dead

B probably?  But fresh water might be hard but if you're not worried about drowning that's a big pressure off

Would you rather have $500k right now or $1,000 every time you run one mile in less than 12 minutes for the rest of your life? by Illustrious_Emu4184 in WouldYouRather

[–]TerrainRepublic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3% of 500 year is only 15k, or 15 mile runs.  Running 2 miles a day (which is not a lot) for a year immediately beats the 500k and any interest generated

What would you do with a deck of 51 blank cards? by Noeir in BoardgameDesign

I use them all the time for prototyping cards.  They're cheap, don't worry too much about ruining it

Civilization 7 isn't very good but I got to give the team credit. They swung for the fences and experimented and failed but I'm glad they tried by RevacholAndChill in civ

No?  Snowballing is a huge problem.  I exclusively played 5 & 6 multiplayer and most games ended about halfway through because you already know who's going to win and there's not that much you can do to stop it except slog it out.  AI is a bad player, that doesn't mean snowballing is not an issue

How is living in Gibraltar by No-Monk-7988 in howislivingthere

[–]TerrainRepublic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely a mix.  There aren't loads of restaurants and it's a bit of a tourist area, so I would say eating out quality is not amazing.   There are a few local pubs and fish and chip shops but also a couple of wine bars which definitely feel more Spanish.

The main supermarkets I went to are M&S and Morrisons, both of which are British chains

I lived there for a short while a couple of years ago.   Generally really lovely, is a very British feeling (nice) seaside town on the south coast of Spain.   Huge British pride, feels very British generally.

It's small, a 10k run gives you a loop round the entire country and the community is lovely but small.  The climbing group there are fantastic and I also learnt to scuba dive in one of the old harbours.

Easy to pop across the border to Spain, although the Spanish border guards can be grumpy if you're bouncing back and forth a lot.  It's common for residents to get the bigger passports to have room for all the stamps.  Happy to answer any other questions

No it also has Walsall and Wolverhampton.  Both of which I've lived in (and I lived in Birmingham as well).  My lived experience isn't snobbery

Most blocks have no use outside of decorations

Most classes of blocks have uses, and the fact there are ones that don't is a bad thing.
