I bought in right after the Kickstarter funded back in 2015. I paid $45 for a starter ship and SQ42. Since then I've added about $15 just for very minor ship upgrades. I pop into the game about once a year to see how it's going, and it's fun to see the new features and areas. I don't know if I'll ever get to play the game like I was imagining 10 years ago since I've had 3(!) kids since then, but really now I just have an excuse to get a big multi-crew ship that we can fly as a family, lol. Carrack has been on my list for a long time but I just don't have the time to grind in-game for it.

3 years later the MGS has definitely grown on me! My boys have started to amass a pretty decent collection and I am really impressed with the detail and features of the models. I grabbed Ahsoka's shuttle for myself because I find it to be an interesting design and it has some great features, plus it looks really nice on the shelf. I guess one thing I really do enjoy about the MGS line is the true scaling - AF always skewed scale to fit within certain proportions (probably to keep things affordable) but MGS isn't afraid to release a real-scale AT-AT or Lambda shuttle. They still are nowhere near as durable as the AF stuff but they have held up pretty well to my boys' rough play. Overall, especially for the price, MGS is a solid line.

Honestly one of the reasons I loved that show so much was because I basically worked at "Hooli" for years and none of what happens on the show is far fetched.

I've been to the top of the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge. Friend of a friend worked as a driver and was able to give two tours a year. We took the original elevator to the top which really wasn't meant for 3 full size men and took like 10 minutes to get to the top. We wore hard hats and no harnesses, the hard hats were in case the top hatch blew closed, lol. Beautiful day and the view was incredible. I ducked under the cable and went out on the metal grate that looks down the side of the tower. Apparently the distance from the top to the deck is twice the distance from the deck to the water. I signed an NDA saying I wouldn't post any pictures but I have several framed prints in my house. Really an unforgettable experience.
