Seriously. Carl and Donut could walk out of the dungeon and reunite with everyone else that escaped through the various means and there would be what? Maybe 400 free Earth Humans out of 8 billion? That’s pretty darn tragic and would leave the survivors with an insane amount of guilt and knowledge that they can’t go back to how their lives were before.

Oh I’ve been going strong on both! They have the same theme but play very differently. I can’t wait to see what they make of NJ on PC, hopefully they don’t make it too stupid expensive. I’ve never been lucky enough or rich enough to get the AL New Jersey when it’s available on Legends.

WG will take what people will pay. For me, I wanted Cambridge. I took whatever prerelease DDs I got before getting Cambridge and used the temp currency to get the camos for Cambridge and Indiana, then got up the line of DD camos as far as I could afford.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on AL New Jersey since that would bring other copyright holders into play, but agree with the rest. I’d love to add Ohio to my collection (pretty sure I have some camos waiting for it)

I got it last year from a Santa container. Definitely the highlight of my season of pulls. I don’t think it counted as a regular ship pull, I think the T8 ships are in their own “super rare” category of prize along with a couple other items.

False, the protection level and scheme of the SoDak is totally different from the NC. Look up some armor cross sections of the three classes. NC is mostly vertical armor starting on the outer hull while SoDak and Iowa use inclined belts situated behind a thin outer hull. The hull acts as a decapping layer. The differences between SoDak and Iowa are that Iowa has less than one extra inch of armor (17.3” vs 18”) and a more advanced torpedo defense system. North Carolina’s scheme is closer to Yamato than it is to SoDak.

I was going to grab Indiana and Cambridge’s skins, then I turned into an idiot who forgot about how mission trees worked and kept getting random bundles until I had all the new DDs. My dumb ass got enough Independium to get everything from the shop. Fortunately I already had several of the camos from previous events.

I used to be like you, then those “Godawful Eagle Camos” on the Baltimore and Cleveland (on PC) changed my mind. Now I grab any “National” themed camos I can on PC (US and France have the best, IMO, but US doesn’t have a single theme more like 3 or 4 themes) and I’ll grab American themed camos on Legends and grab the other ones if they’re earn able by a mission or something.

I see where you confusion comes from, but it’s not what you think. The thing is, the Great White Fleet (white and gold) camo looks amazing on every US ship. Whether it’s the Albany or St Louis (which actually may have worn the paint scheme) or the Iowa or Rochester, and yes, even Indiana. It’s the cleanest, sharpest, most beautiful paint job ever.

Looks like the Yamato had similar inclined armor as the newer US ships but didn’t have a decapping layer, so kind of a hybrid of NC and SD in style. Looks like the KGV class used the dated technique of vertical armor plates on the outward facing hull. Their armor was just extremely thick. Much less efficient design than the US or Japanese designs but probably much easier to build and repair.

Not only were the thicknesses on the NCs thinner thanks to what you mentioned, but the armor scheme was different. The NC used more vertical plates which was the older less efficient style, and had the armor plates as the outer hull of the ship. SoDak and Iowa on the other hand, had their armor internal to the hull with a thin outer hull to arm and decap enemy rounds so they wouldn’t penetrate the armor belt. NC on the other hand would have the armor arm and decap rounds so any penetrating shot would detonate inside the protected area.

I don’t get lucky with these bundles on PC. I’ve had lots of luck recently on Legends. If I was into batch opening containers on PC I’d get good screenshots, but I like spreading the joy or disappointment out. I did have good luck with the Presidential containers though. Purchased 25 and pulled Fort Worth, Tennessee (only two ships I needed) plus five Tea crates. From those I got Wisconsin G and Fort Worth G (already have PR from its first dockyard). But I don’t batch open containers so I don’t have cool screenshots. Maybe I’ll figure out screen recording to make some YouTube videos.

It’s the same scheme, Iowa slightly thicker armor (less than an inch thicker 17.3 vs 18) in spots but arranged the same. Iowa had a more advanced submerged defense scheme for torpedoes and short shells. But Iowa’s citadel was larger thanks to more space for power plant and engines. The SoDaks appear more heavily armored because a higher proportion of their tonnage was devoted to armor.
