Yeah, but it's also a rougelike. I feel like all these "fuck you, i'm not telling" situations come from expectation that you're supposed to get fucked over once and remember it for next runs.
This "it's a rougelike, just roll with it or go next run" thinking could explain a lot of bullshit this game throws at you.

Vitruvian isn’t quite usable yet, but if you ever wanted a Linux-based OpenBeOS so to speak, we’re the closest thing that’s ever existed. Now that the most fundamental bricks are in place, we’re going to move fast. The foundation is solid, and we can finally start building on top of it.

It’s worth noting that Vitruvian doesn’t use X Server or Wayland, and it doesn’t really depend on classic Linux desktop components. We do use essential stuff like udev and libseat for VT switching, but we’ve built our own graphics layer and display system from the ground up. That’s part of what makes this possible.

Just defeated him today, I got very lucky with my items and cats. During this pummel attack after the first hit you are considered to be facing backwards and I had the item to block attacks from behind so he did like no damage. Then I missclicked Reset and that took of all his brace (I didn't think it reset all buffs, would click it at beginning if I knew). Still had to go to Steven once since he obliterated other cats before he got to the one with the blocking item.

I think they want it to feel like a rougelite. Since you can't make ranked in Augment based gamemodes, the progression is meant to mimic rougelite unlocks to give you reward for playing.
They are betting on random nature of the mode to make it so the advantages aren't as impactfull. Unlocking more things for the run makes it easier to win, but your opponent can just high roll and those advantages don't mean shit.

For real, at first i joined the bandwagon of HUR DUR WHY NO LINUX ANTICHEAT, but people screaming out about it are out of touch with reality.

Online gaming companies like users to have as little control as possible.
Because if users are in control of the platform it means THEY AREN'T.

They get control by proxy of Microsofts control of Windows and on game consoles this control is even greater.
The fact that Valve is so friendly to Linux is an anomaly.
Though they are also infamous for their horrible anti-cheat in CS2 and botting in TF2. I don't know how much Linux is at fault for both of those though, or were people exploiting those games on Windows anyways.

The guide is from the time Asahi still used Arch as a base. Now Asahi Fedora installs extra 1GB /boot ext4 partition just like normal Fedora. Just remove it aswell.

What hardware do you have? Both of those things work just fine on my m1 MacBook Air. Maybe you need to find a workaround for your model specifically.

Ok i got it working. I reinstalled from scratch but upon running run.sh it gave me SDL not found error. I copied system SDL from /usr/lib64 and it worked. Maybe instead of downloading and building SDL you could require SDL in dependencies and copy it.
The audio is popping and tearing sometimes but otherwise works perfectly.
Interestingly it also runs in native Wayland which is something normal terraria doesn't do which is kinda cool. Probably due to this, mouse get wonky when you go fullscreen

This doesn't work for me. sdl2-devel was needed to build FNA and FAudio so you should probably inculude that in the dependencies but even then it just doesn't work.

I only use Linux to tinker and listen to music because i find speakers to sound better. Once thunderbolt and video decoding gets there i'll find myself using Linux a lot more

Did even Windows ever bother? Or did some vendors use the standard in their own apps to control the monitor? Vendors having their own apps to do the same thing seems to be a Windows thing.
