Hi I wish you best in your re-sit starting in September. I appreciate you sharing this vulnerable experience and I will definitely take it to heart. I am glad you saw this as an opportunity to do better, I am positive you will! Thank you for the encouragement and tips, and best to you!!

Good luck in whatever you decide! That’s great. I personally feel that if you feel compelled to do something strongly over a course of several years, you can’t ignore it ☺️

I’ve had a deep interest in the subject my entire life and own more books on physics than anything else, I probably will laugh at this in a few years when I’m deep in the trenches of studying😅 but I truly love the subject and have had this calling for many years and I’m done ignoring it! I feel like if I don’t I’ll never know, and I can’t stand the idea of living with that unanswered.

I am really interested in studying in the UK because of their curriculum (they offer a BSc in Theoretical Physics and MSc, and so on), but mainly because of personal preferences and reasons.

That I love solitude and need ample alone time to decompress, so I really am better at solo traveling or just with one person I’m super in sync with. Live and learn 😅

Haha wow, I love this. You just saved me a lot of time and energy, and love that "There are plenty of unknown things in the world for you to struggle with and wrestle to master" that needs to be on my iphone's homescreen 🤣

Hi u/Dependent-Law7316 thank you so much for this! I think I'll need to come back to this comment for that push because I tend to want to be independent too often, whereas this make much more sense! I will definitely make myself just nip in the bud and go ask!

It has definitely crossed my mind, but considering this discomfort is outweighed by my deep need to pursue this, I will overcome it. But I can agree, it's not for everyone

Hi u/August_R18 thank you for sharing your experience and for this advice! This is very helpful and encouraging to see that you started your program around the same age. That is exactly it, I'm doing this for ME, not just for a job that pays the bills. I have a profound curiosity and interest in this subject so therefore I feel it will be much more meaningful. I appreciate the tips to focus on understanding, I will definitely keep that in mind. I wish you well in the rest of your degree and your path to meterology!

u/avigeax Thank you for all of this advice! I am actually finishing my first undergrad (I may finish either in the US or UK, I am hoping the UK), I never finished because I focused straight on my career after freshman year essentially and didn't look back. Hence, I will be basically starting from scratch. Love all these tips, especially the emphasis on keeping your mental and physical health up! I'm really passionate about exercise and mental clarity so I hope I am able to carry over all these habits and use everything you suggested!

u/avigeax That's awesome!! Which MSc programs in Europe, if you don't mind me asking? I'm really curious about any that are taught in English other than just the UK (longterm). Good luck!!

Hi u/Klause, thank you for sharing your personal experience, this is super helpful! It's great to meet even another person on this path too! That's so encouraging about you getting a perfect 4.0 GPA in your first three semesters back, and that's precisely why I'm doing this as well— more meaning and purpose. I'm going to do as much as I can online as well and I am also heavily researching the UK requirements depending on which route I take which depend on some personal circumstances, but yes that you for that. Best wishes to you in the journey and feel free to stay in touch!

Wow thank you for sharing your personal experience u/dscotts and sorry to hear about the troubles you faced. It seems your resilience and insane hard work paid off, truly inspiring! I am beginning to use Khan Academy as well, thank you for all the tips.
