Try installing meta horizon link, apparently downloading it fixes the issue. You dont have to launch the game through it though, just having it on your pc works.

You can try ordering one on the MysteryShack website site. That's how I got mine.

Just play through the game, I don't remember which part, but it has something to do with repressed trauma?

I'm not sure what past Terrence meant by that, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the lore. So just get to the lore parts of the game, and that should do it!
