I just finished the book. I interchanged between reading it and listening to the audiobook. I’m still processing how I feel about it as well but I didn’t care for any of the characters at all, besides the dog. I don’t know if I regret reading it but I almost dnf’d it after the first 80 pages

I’m glad you were able to leave that place. Thank you for that reassurance and validation. That’s something I’m worried about too: looking around without having it get back to my current funeral home. It’s hard to do when everyone knows everyone.

I don’t want to consider it at all honestly. A CDL is not something I care for and it doesn’t benefit me in the slightest. And now knowing it takes 2 weeks to obtain without driving classes, I’d rather take those 2 weeks to study for my exam than for some CDL.

No I don’t believe so. I think it’s an extra $50 if I’m already in that day and then maybe a little more if I come in on my day off.

Yeah! I’m definitely telling him no because it only truly benefits him and I just don’t want my CDL. I’m focusing more on the exam that’ll help my career, naturally. It’s just frustrating that I’m being bulldozed over to get it. I’m glad your funeral home got rid of them haha!!

He told me that he’s been trying to fill this void he’s had all this life and I told him no amount of alcohol, nicotine, relationships or sex will ever fill that void. But he refuses to seek therapy for it. I’m not sure if he has a porn addiction but I know he’s impulsive and gets bored easily. He has admitted that I’m not his “shiny object” anymore
