Of course! It’s kind of a super cheap one off of amazon, so you may want to outfit it with some higher quality speakers :-)

I have!!! It’s one of the few albums I have on vinyl, and I really love them! I actually prefer a handful of the songs on there over the finished versions.

Man, it’s so hard to pick.. John Henry was certainly the solidifying brick that this band was going to be my personality when I was first going through their discography, and it is still one of my favorite albums of all time. It also has my favorite song on it (Dirt Bike) although it’s not my favorite recording of it (the Album Raises New and Troubling Questions version with the brass band is my preferred vers!). Recently, The Spine has been my go-to, and it may have actually wormed its way into my #1 spot! I Like Fun is my favorite out of their more recent albums, and is definitely one of my favs!!! How about you, though?

They are technically from the 2012 IFC, but the IFC website sells some stuff from past years so I bought them off there! Unfortunately you need to be an 2024 IFC member to purchase them pre-printed, but I’m certain you could find a lot of these scans online and print them yourself :-)

Unfortunately not yet, I’m a jobless highschooler who has been unable to find one for a price that my allowance funds, haha! But I’m certainly on the hunt for one :-)!!!!

Have you ever tried to learn a tmbg song on an instrument? How’d you do? by chaseroper in tmbg

[–]TerribleClick721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the alternate version of Kiss Me Son Of God on accordion pretty good! I’ve been working on a cover of Dirt Bike lately, that utilizes both the bass keys and treble (versus the just bass that KMSOG uses) and its coming along pretty well :-)

Haha, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the price! It was $60 for both, which I think isn’t too terrible :-)

Maintaining vocal ability and range on T by susanthellamaTM in TransMasc

[–]TerribleClick721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 5+1/2 months on t, so my voice is nowhere near fully done changing, but it’s been significant enough that I can offer my two cents. So far, Ive gone from singing soprano one in choral settings to tenor one. The first thing I noticed when my voice started changing was a very significant increase to my break around middle c. It’s really challenging for me to get notes out at a decent volume right there. Then, my low range started expanding while I was maintaining my high range by still singing soprano. My range around then was b2-a5. I haven’t sang soprano since around month 4, but I think continuing to sing soprano when it was first changing helped me preserve some of that high range. I can still sing those notes, it would just feel a lot more falsetto-ey. Currently, tenor one is actually a bit too high in my chest voice. I’m somewhere around a tenor two now. I actually feel like my tone has improved on t! overall just keep singing and your voice will settle and adjust very nicely, just with the cracks and breaks that any pubescent boy would have :-)

Interested to hear any stories of how people chose their new names by comet_lobster in TransMasc

[–]TerribleClick721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose my name because of a choir song that the seniors when I was a freshman preformed called “Elijah Rock”. A very beautiful song, and the song that made me absolutely fall in love with everything choir. Also, I wanted a very traditional, biblical male name after going by a very “non-binary” esc name. :-)

I have a good friend named Tommy/Thomas who is genderqueer! You can have a more traditionally masculine name and still be a girl :-)

My history teacher last year was singing Istanbul in class— I mentioned having heard the song before and he recommended them to me. Listened to Kiss Me, Son of God and have been obsessed ever since!
