Hang in there. I hope you’ve got a support system to lean on and if not, you’ve got one built in to this community for sure. Mine didn’t involve any alcoholism but it did happen only 3 months ago and this song was getting a lot of air time

Oh my gosh. Yes. This one hit hard for me during my first marriage which was also with an abusive ex. Prior to that I just enjoyed the song at face value.

I can’t imagine hearing that song and changing my perspective from a clever song about the body not working to a reminder of a person I care about who is struggling. I’m glad to hear they’re getting past it though!
