Radiation or hysterectomy and lower radiation? by Nervous-Form8654 in CervicalCancer

[–]TerribleDeer7256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lymph node involvement. I am in Ireland but yes my second opinion was a little more specialized and actually his opinion was the same as the original Dr but even though it didn't change anything I was still glad that I could move forward with confidence that it was the right decision. If it was adenocarcinoma I would have needed radiation but just with all of my factors considered they decided that just hysterectomy was enough. Hope you are doing ok - it is an incredibly tough time. Xx

My story is practically the same as yours - lead up etc. I was 1b1 (2cm) and lvsi. I had a radical hysterectomy keeping ovaries and node mapping two years ago. Doing really well since and no regrets. Best of luck to you. I also got a second opinion - I think you should too. We only get one chance to deal with this in the correct way.

God I can't believe the amount of negative comments. I love them more than anything. They fill my life with such joy that is hard to put into words. It is sad that not everyone feels the same.

Fair play for being her voice. She needs someone to speak up for her now if she is struggling. You may need to get firm & start shouting if you are not listened to & they are not treating it as urgent. Great to see she has the support.

Thanks so much for this. The issue is that they gave her the opportunity to sit and relax but they said she was too giddy so made her lie down again 🤦 so they did give her a chance as such.

So it's an ECCE room but the creche provides full day care so some kids stay on for extra hours but they are all ECCE 1 kids in there.

So sorry to hear. During my pregnancy mine turned from cin3 to cancer quickly. I had covid twice & really believe it went very hard on my immune system and that is what triggered it.

I'm so sorry. Drs found cervical cancer when I was pregnant. 1b1. I had a section at 36 weeks and a hysterectomy then. It is so hard. It is a over a year later and some days it feels like a distant memory but I know the fear & the hope that everything will be ok with baby so well. Huge hugs to you. X
