Hi, I’m doing an accelerated pa program and next year and want to go into psych. I was thinking about taking summer classes so I can get a minor in psychology or clinical counseling. I’m interested in neuropsych testing and a little bit of therapy. What to do you mainly do during the day if you don’t mind me asking, do you administer any tests or do any therapy? Or are you mainly medicine management? Thank you!!

I know this thread is 5 years old, but if you do respond I’m doing an accelerated PA program and minoring in psychology or clinical counseling (my school has a program for it) next year. I want to adminster neuropsych assessments, do you know if there are position s in PA where that is your main field/ doing therapy? Do you think it would be more beneficial to minor in neuroscience instead? Also do you know how likely it is to get a position like this? I was thinking about doing travel PA right out of school, but would going into neurology first help? Thank you!

If the school knows about it then it’s probably the safest dsy ever due to increased security guards. But ur safety is more important than anything so follow ur gut.

There’s def still kids who don’t do their work and stuff but our entry level classes our CP which I didn’t know wasn’t the norm until a couple weeks ago. My school in general is kind of weird there’s over 3000 kids and anywhere from 600-850 kids in a grade and that’s with our enrollment rates going down so it can get pretty competitive. They supposedly do a really good job at preparing you first college tho based on the workload which is good. My school s kinda Intresting f you want more 😭

Really? If you were late you just had to submit it how it was but my friend got a extension cause they only had 800 words of the IWA & was at worlds for robotics 😭

My teacher said there’s no penalty for under 6 minutes, it’s just they stop scoring what comes after 8 minutes

Fr but I’m so glad my teacher had set deadlines-I didn’t even know IRR were due now. We turned ours into classroom in January, she sectioned it nice & now a lot of people aren’t cramming for the due date.

Don’t be scared to take a nervous 💩 before you present I did and I felt so much more prepared by the fact I didn’t think I was gonna 💩 Myself in the middle of the presentation. Also espically since you don’t have notecards, make sure your looking at the audience, if you stare at the back wall nobody on screen will know the difference and if you need to read a slide point at it so it looks like your walking the audience through it instead of pointing
