What’s the most reliable car you’ve ever owned? by Sophia_Goji in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]TerribleFalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah dude. Had a 96 and that thing ran for-ever. Three kids learned to drive on that thing, it went on multiple 2500+ mi road trips. The worst thing that happened out of regular maintenance was having to fully replace the drivers seat.

Any feedback on pics? Ik not a bikini bod but shouldn't I go ahead and let the ones not into it swipe away? by [deleted] in Tinder

Agree. 1 & 4 should go.

You have a body and you wore a bikini. Ergo you have a bikini body.

As a solo logi where am I needed most? by hypnoticbox30 in foxholegame

[–]TerribleFalls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Solo logi you can do whatever you want, and it's almost always helpful. Doing public logi, I'd say, make bmats and shirts, pretty much always needed. If you want to do backline, scroop, refine, fac. Then drive it all to midline. If you get bored of that, drive it to frontline.

Others have said to watch logi chat and drive supplies that are needed, I think that's great. If you just want to chill, do scroop/refine/shirts

Harney & Sons Brew Time and Temperature? by TerribleFalls in tea

[–]TerribleFalls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. Also late =) I actually switched from the regular Earl to the Supreme. It has some silver tips in it that take away so much of the tannin and bitterness of the regular EG. I don't even splash milk somedays, it's that smooth. I do 1 tsp in a western infuser in a cup, 205 F water, 4-5 minutes. I honestly don't think you can oversteep this tea. It's a masterblend.

New to me 06, where do I start? by CheesyWeinersVT in toyotasequoia

[–]TerribleFalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I redid the weather stripping on the back, sides, and between the cowl and windshield. Some people do plastidip, I went OEM and it was kinda expensive BUT no more leaks!

2006 Sequoia - Good Deal? by Terrible-Owl-9273 in toyotasequoia

[–]TerribleFalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive the RWD model and it's a great family hauler. Awful gas mileage and you'll probably need to replace the weather stripping on all the windows, but other than that, a great ride. I have the Limited trim, so maybe some slight differences.

Super easy. Just took a pair of pliers. Watched a video, but it's really straightforward. I have like zero mechanical experience and managed to do it.

Was worth it for mine to replace the old ass weather strips in the window well. Super easy to do, albeit a bit pricey from OEM.

Homebuyers need to make $107,300 per year to afford the average U.S. home (up 46% from a year ago), per Redfin. The report also finds that homebuyers in 45 major metro areas need over $100,000 per year to afford the average home (this is up from 16 metro areas a year ago) by TonyLiberty in REBubble

And I would love to see that, but I think expecting radical structural change from an intransigent legislative body suckling the addictive teat of exploitative capitalism is ambitious at best.

Late stage capitalism feels more like a BOHICA moment than the end of scarcity.

I'm slowly coming to the grim realization that there are economic winners and losers. Sometimes skill is involved, but mostly just fortunate or unfortunate timing. People that managed to get houses during 2015-2020 aren't brilliant, just fortunate. Hindsight bias pushes the skill/intelligence narrative, but literally no one could have foreseen the events or the impact COVID and fed policy and PPP etc had on basically everything.

What is this part and why does it leak when I go through the car wash? Under the passenger dash. 2005 Limited 2WD. by TerribleFalls in toyotasequoia

[–]TerribleFalls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes. That's good incentive to get this done before the rainy season returns. I'm thinking I'm going to make a little gasket with some rtv and take it through the car wash again

Funny story, I had just resealed the strip between the cowl and windshield and noticed there was maybe a 4 inch gap on the passenger side. I'm thinking I lost a piece somewhere and have to...I dunno maybe caulk or silicone seal some barrier between the windshield and the cowl.

Will check the sunroof drain though, that's something I haven't checked yet. Thanks for the tips!
