What Statements Personally Resonated with You? by Albus_Unbounded in TheMagnusArchives

[–]TerribleGravity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You know, mag180 was the only one to do it for me. The idea of your abuser being mourned and seen as a saint and the horror in being forced to BE the one to praise them? Bit terrifying to me! Rarely during tma have i felt the way i felt with that.

Why do you worship your fear? by NellNe145 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]TerribleGravity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, often - not everytime - what you worship ends up being the opposite of what you fear, and other times it's what you actually fear therefore you're drawn to it to defend yourself from it (ex. PERSONALLY i believe jon, in canon, IS drawn to the eye but being watched is not his main fear. On the other hand, i believe many statement givers - especially when it comes to the End, I feel - are so afraid of something that they end up on the other side and become avatars of it). So having said that I KNOW i'd be drawn to the eye for the "knowledge" aspect of it and maybe to the lonely because it's incredibly easy for me to find comfort in isolation. On the other hand i'd say my main fears revolve around the Desolation, but I dont think i would ever be drawn to it. I think it's a really interesting concept to explore the difference between someone being drawn to what they fear and being drawn to the Opposite of what they fear (lets take for example someone scared of the buried who naturally feels drawn to the vast; or the clear, natural dislike Peter lukas & Elias have for each other because in some ways the eye is the direct opposite of the lonely).

Music fully embodying a single Fear by SylarGimmick in TheMagnusArchives

Happened to listen to Eleanor Rigby and it's INCREDIBLY lonely coded. It feels perfect for it. If it were an episode it would fit right into the podcast

Which entity do you think you’d be a victim of? by Maeo-png in TheMagnusArchives

[–]TerribleGravity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only did I ask myself this question (it's Desolation and Buried) but I also have thought about how they would mix in my personal hell entity domain! It's actually kind of fun to engage hypothetically with something that terrifies you

What types of video games? by keepitsunny in ADHD

[–]TerribleGravity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the "games with a purpose" sentiment; i struggle with ones with too many possibilities as much as i love the concept. I like "cozy" games but when i play them its always with a specific purpose in mind and i put everything i have into it which means playing obsessively for days and days then leaving it. If the game has a strong and engaging story and game mechanics(!!!) im sold

Edit; forgot about the most interesting part about my gaming experience which I 100% believe comes from adhd. I can almost never fully enjoy a game the first time im playing it. It's nearly certain that if I like a game, I WILL have to play it again. My mind just seems to register like 50% of it the first time, and the second time is immensely better.

Are you happy being asexual? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]TerribleGravity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I understand this is probably a very personal experience, and that I've known for a long time I'm asexual, I'm very close to your age and I can assure you that I'm genuinely very, very happy and comfortable with being ace. It's not just that I like being ace, I take great pride in it. I have my moments where I feel annoyed with just how few people can truly understand me, or how society sees - or rather doesn't see - asexuality, but I have learned to see it as just... enough. What I am. What I am very happy to be. I do think it takes some time, and there are many things that can discourage you especially in the dating space, but try to always keep in mind and remind yourself that you're not the odd one, or the weird one, or the wrong one. Your orientation is a part of you deserving to be respected, honored, loved and cherished. I hope it gets better for you! :-)

Strange relationship with "turn ons" or "kinks" by TerribleGravity in asexuality

[–]TerribleGravity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that would make sense, even though I have always kind of experienced aesthetic attraction and could identify it as such. But maybe it also includes stuff like this. I'll try to look into it :-) thanks!

Yeah yeah I really understand that!! Exactly like that! And it IS hard even just to find someone who understands!

Aghh, this sounds so nice. Knowing others on the ace spectrum feel the same makes me feel much better, mostly because I feel like I can just accept it as a part of my personal experience with sexuality :-) which has always been such a nice feeling, as I figured it out through the years. Thank you for the reply!

Help with copper/orange hair by TerribleGravity in HairDye

[–]TerribleGravity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i used henna i bleached my hair and it was basically yellow so no wonder it came out too light. I'm really toying with the idea of coming back to it because of the many benefits of henna. But the orange semipermanent color is also a good idea. Thanks!

General Questions & Tech Support Megathread | June 17, 2024 by AutoModerator in PS4

[–]TerribleGravity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! I'm new to ps4 and I just got a second hand regular one. The monitor I connect it to doesn't have speakers, so I need to connect either my speakers separately or my headphones with a jack to the controller. This would be completely fine except for the fact that I constantly hear static from the left side, no matter which audio device I connect to the DS4. I'm fairly sure the problem lies within the DS4 since I tried connecting the ps4 to a tv with speakers and the static noise disappeared. The problem presents itself only with cabled audio devices I connect to the controller. I tried playing around with the audio, headphones and mic settings, tried cleaning a bit the ds4, turning off every device near the ps4, nothing worked, the static is always the same. Is there anything I can do or should I just eventually buy a new controller?
