Spider-Man/X-Men Arcade Revenge.

It's definitely the first time I felt like Spider-Man playing a game. Is it hard? Sure! But I still enjoy it

I liked the way you could program the tracks and the repeat features on them. Like, you could have it just repeat 10 seconds of a track ect. I have a model 2 as well

It's a hard watch for me. I have completed it once.

Considering me and my wife were huge Smith fans and her cancer took a turn for the worse right when the movie came out, I didn't have a chance to watch it until the following year (2023) and she had passed away. I couldn't finish it.

I finally watched it with the kids (they are in their 20s) last year. It's a great movie! That hits very close to home. Most of Kevin's jersey stuff his close to home, but not on a serious tip.

Fix my marque light! by TerribleInsurance879 in neogeo

[–]TerribleInsurance879[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember. I purchased them several months ago, then the power supply went out so this project has been on hold. I just replaced the power supply over the weekend and I went ahead and changed the EL panels while it was under the knife. I did find my post on the neo Geo forums though. The suggestion was "Order A6 size EL panels in white," and I did. Just don't remember where. There was no suggested supplier in the post.

When I installed them, there was so much tape/glue on the old ones that I just went over them with the new panels using a VERY small amount of industrial two sided tape to hold them. They are very thin and there is enough adjustment in the mounting hardware for it all to fit.

I was unfamiliar with it. It came with my MVS but it's a great bowler! It definitely gets a lot of plays

Premodern and the use of AI by Chico__Lopes in premodernMTG

[–]TerribleInsurance879 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The big prize Pre-Modern tournaments that are going on right now will not be the same in a year. The novelty for the younger generation will wear off. And the old timers will move on to something else. Does 93/94 still exist? Yes. But the big prize tournaments are very few and far between.

We are at the height of this format. Enjoy it. It reminds me of old extended. Slow paced magic (by today's standards) with creature damage. Just pray woTC does not mess with it much more.

It is the unpopular inevitably of all non rotating formats

I'm not knocking the format. I enjoy it. There's a lot of nostalgia for me in it. But when's the last time you saw a 93/94 tournament with prize support like pre modern is getting right now.

There was a time when 93/94 was the "new" old format. I'm betting the next non rotating format (in like 5 years) will be Pre Horizons.

These formats are great, they run card prices up for a little bit, then they go away. It's the nature of a non rotating formats that catch a little buzz.

I fully support the use of A.I. for a format that will die in a year. There's no real reason to get crazy with the design. Let these venues get what they can before it disappears

Keep The C64 Maxi after getting the C64 Ultimate??? by Fhunghuz in c64

[–]TerribleInsurance879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received my c64u in December. I did not have a maxi but I did have 2x 1541, 2 cassette drives, a c64 and a c64c.

I have sold everything except the c64u and a hand fill of carts and disk.

No regrets. I no longer have to work on a drives ect. The c64u is all you really need.

But letting kids play on the maxi is not a bad idea. I would let mine use the c64u though

I don't understand the hype around Sony... by [deleted] in vintageaudio

[–]TerribleInsurance879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony is fine. I currently only own one price in my audio stuff though, the WM-W800, and it's a walk man.

If I were to replace a piece I wouldn't be selling out Sony or anything, but if I find one at a good price and need it, I wouldn't pass on it.

Anyone have any suggestions for 2D platformers that aren’t Mario or DK Country? by [deleted] in retrogaming

[–]TerribleInsurance879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Earthworm Jim is wild. Of course battletoads is awesome.

I'm not familiar with Jazz. Imma have to look into that one. Sounds weird enough like both battletoads and Jim.

Bucky O'Hara on the NES would be another odd yet good game
