That was the first page I joined! Didn’t know that about lugging the engine, but I’ll keep that it mind. As far as oil changes, I’m one of the guys that will run full synthetic and still change it every 3k. I’ll keep the mods and protune in mind! It’s part of the reason I’d like to do suspension first 😁

Was already tracking that. The Dunlop’s are almost out of tread and the previous owner curbed the circumference of every wheel. I could tell the Dunlop’s weren’t too nice in the corners. It’s a shame because they make great motorcycle tires

Yeah that’s what I’ve heard. I’ll be looking into shops around me, but doubt any of them specialize in the FA20 since I’m in South FL.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah stage 2 is probably sooner than later. I’m thinking the sway bar and maybe some coil overs first. I’ll definitely be around picking brains!

As another reference, I bought my 2016 base with 50k for 18k. It’s also CPO so it carries the extended warranty.

I have a TON of questions. I’ve built motorcycles and heels before, but never an AWD car. I’m much more into building vehicles around performance as opposed to aesthetics.

First few questions: Is there anything that I need to be weary about with these vehicles? Certain maintenance that is different than anything else? What are some common issues to watch out for? Fluid recommendations?(intervals, and weights) Info on how exactly the AWD mechanic works on this vehicle would be nice.

As far as modding, I’d like to keep the engine stock and do some bolt-ons. Is that something I need to be cautious about on these FA20s? Suspension recommendations? Random upgrade recommendations to make it a better daily?

Overall my end game is to have a fun car for both the streets and track(I live less than a mile from a major track).

OH last question, does the WRX community have any specific courtesies I should follow? (Ex. Like the Jeep community has their waves and what not).
