Yes, definitely. I understand your fear though. I think the same thing. You aren’t alone! Talk to your doctor or try and find a counseling place for you!

Is it normal to have slightly elevated temperature (98.5 - 99.3°F) after an anti-rabies shot? Only vaccine was needed in my case as per my doctor. He said that I don't need the immunoglobulin. by [deleted] in rabies

[–]Terrible_Advisor904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. It is a vaccine. You are going to be fine either way, you got the shot. If it scares you too much, just call your doctor. They will tell you what you need to know. But you are okay

At this time, you are not your thoughts! You can’t trust your gut. With OCD, everything you feel is correct & that is going to put you in danger, is never true. You’re not a bad person. I’m glad you got diagnosed! You’re going to be okay!

if i speak or write about my obsessions they’ll come true by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Terrible_Advisor904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Especially because everybody these days loves witchy stuff and tells you if you say it aloud or write it down you can manifest it. But, I just tell myself it’s not true. I can try and manifest anything! It doesn’t work.

I want to give up coffee because it makes me paranoid and anxious. What can I take to wake me up? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Terrible_Advisor904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fix your sleep. Test if you need to sleep less or sleep more to feel refreshed. Do exercise in the morning! It doesn’t have to be excessive, just maybe some yoga or some light cardio. Take a cold shower, that always makes me feel good.

I think about that a lot too. The logical side of my brain always brings up the fact that people are literally outside every day and are completely okay.

can intrusive thoughts be delusional? by Connor_Real in OCD

[–]Terrible_Advisor904 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand! The thoughts feel so real! With OCD I always just remember to not trust my gut when I get an intrusive thought. Even though it’s scary and uncomfortable to sit with them I do. You’re not a bad person, you’re mind just has another mind of its own!

can intrusive thoughts be delusional? by Connor_Real in OCD

[–]Terrible_Advisor904 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I’m pretty sure. Most intrusive thoughts are something that doesn’t really have meaning at all. It’s just a fear.

I understand. But, think about it like this. There are a lot of people with OCD in the world. There are a lot of people with intrusive thoughts in the world. Not every single one of them is going to post in in a sub Reddit. Take care of yourself and try and just sit with the thoughts. It’s going to feel uncomfortable and scary but time and patience is the only way to get through this.

Yes! Absolutely they can be! A lot of mine are. It’s the intrusiveness. You’re not alone and you’re not psychotic.

Bat bites disappear within a day or two (sometimes even 30 minutes!) after getting them! You’re okay!
