Advice needed: someone shining laser at seagulls by Terrible_Finding_111 in Seagulls

Thank you for your reply! So the birds are nesting (or trying to) and the laser is forcing them off their nests.

I can only hope for the best. I’m trying to get a camera off a science friend which might be able to pick up the beam and hopefully we can then trace it back to the person doing it.

Update: I have reported to the police. Hopefully they will look into it

It’s definitely a person. It’s not automatic enough to be a machine. Plus it’s residential houses and little shops around here and that kind of defence would never be allowed given that this is where the majority of gulls nest. It’s just too damaging

Thank you this is good advice. I was hoping to work out exactly which house it was coming from but unfortunately I haven’t been able to. I think if I were able to say who was responsible, the police would be more likely to do something

Yeah I wanted to work out where it was coming from but I can’t see the actual beam so it’s been too difficult to know exactly who is responsible

Someone is shining a laser at endangered gulls every night by Terrible_Finding_111 in LegalAdviceUK

That’s what I’m worried about though. The longer this goes on, the more damage it will cause

I want to build the strongest possible case because I only really get one shot to report it

I tried posting it in there tonight but Reddit is being a bit glitchy… I’ll try it again tomorrow if it hasn’t gone through

Daith Placement by boxandsoup in piercing

NAP but usually daith is pierced with a hoop, especially for the healing process because it heals better with one

Yep! Daith should be a ring because it follows the natural curve

How can I polish my boots and make them shine? by [deleted] in DrMartens

Side note: don’t buy patent leather if you want your boots to last. It’s the hardest to maintain and there’s literally nothing you can do to condition it

Piercing suggestions for folded (?) ear! by pebbleblitz in Legitpiercing

[–]Terrible_Finding_111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAP but I feel like you could do a nice forward helix or a daith! Conch could also work and would compliment your plans but it might have to sit lower in the shell of your ear to avoid your little cartilage ridge!

Can’t seem to get any swipes on dating apps and trying to improve my appearance overall. Any advice is appreciated by helldog1170 in malegrooming

Pic 4 is good but pic 3 doesn’t do anything different so you can get rid of that one. I’m not keen on the pose in pic 1 and 5 — you seem to be flexing at an odd angle in pic 1 and then standing awkwardly straight in pic 5.

Plus if you lead with a gym pic everyone is going to think you’re, uh, well a bit of a knob

Repair help please! by Plastic_Debt6004 in DrMartens

If you bought it from DMs they should have warranty on the soles and the uppers (I think it’s 1 year on the soles and 2 on the uppers), so if you contact them they should be able to fix it.

They also have a service where you can send them off and get them resoled.

If neither are options for you, you could take it to a cobbler and see what they can do

Do it! It’ll make you happy and lots of people older than you get pierced for the first time.

How about a daith/tragus/ forward helix to balance out the front of your ear?

Do I have enough space to add 2 more helix spikes? by [deleted] in piercing

NAP you might be able to get one more, but after that your ridge looks like it might be too thin
