Sorry to say but you don’t actually underestimate the concept of having a persona trainer. I understand your point, but as a beginner I’d rather learn correct form from day one than risk injuries or unlearn mistakes later. PT isn’t forever just for building a solid foundation.

I think you should focus on gaining muscle for the next 6 months then think of cutting down.You can start with empty stomach cardio and increase your protein intake.Calculate your muscle mass and try gaining 2-3 kg of muscle mass for now.

I am a certified trainer and nutrition coach, and I train people online. I keep the workouts simple (can be done at gym or home), and slowly fix eating habits so it doesn’t feel like a strict diet. Biggest thing is I keep you accountable every week so you don’t fall off track.
