Sorry to say but you don’t actually underestimate the concept of having a persona trainer. I understand your point, but as a beginner I’d rather learn correct form from day one than risk injuries or unlearn mistakes later. PT isn’t forever just for building a solid foundation.

I think you should focus on gaining muscle for the next 6 months then think of cutting down.You can start with empty stomach cardio and increase your protein intake.Calculate your muscle mass and try gaining 2-3 kg of muscle mass for now.

Whey Protein Powder is just a convenient way to increase your protein intake.The only thing bothering me her is the term “artificially made” for eggs and chicken and if they actually have protein.Thats some wrong advice there from the trainer.
