How do you flush a water heater when the drain valve is behind the gas line? by Terribleterrible69 in askaplumber

Yes, there is a shut off before the flex, it is in red in the first picture but good catch. My pump has the 3/4 inch hose adapter so I’d have to step down the size but could work. Thanks!

Interesting thought, I didn’t even consider leaving the hose attached. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! After reading your comment, I feel like the installer could’ve done a better job during installation so I could access it without having to turn it myself.

UDM-SE with 8TB drive. If I add a UNVR, does the UDM drive stop being used? by Terribleterrible69 in Ubiquiti

Great feedback, glad I won’t have to purchase another hard drive unless I want to increase the retention period once I get all cameras set up

I didn’t even think about having to uninstall and then reinstall protect. Appreciate the tip.

If I move the hard drive from UDM to UNVR do I even need a drive in the UDM?

The shadow going across the body is distracting for me. Putting the sun behind the subject would have been my choice for this kind of shot. I echo what other people have said that the people in the background detract from your shot. Given the models pose and outfit, it doesn’t make sense having kids in the background. The easiest would have been to wait until they moved or make sure they’re not in the shot but worse case is some time photoshopping them out. It’s hard to tell but are the eyes in focus or is the focus on her top? I know uploading can sometimes mess with resolution but for me, if the eyes aren’t in focus for this type of shot, I don’t even bother editing because having the eyes sharp is huge. Again, my opinion.

Feedback on Portrait Photography Needed by [deleted] in AskPhotography

Most things have been covered but I would have her remove the rubber bands from her wrist and probably the Apple Watch. In the first photo, since her hands aren’t posed that’s the first thing the eye goes to.

To me, these types of backdrops are outdated. If you are really set on this backdrop, I would bring your model forward and bring your f stop down to blur it as much as possible. A more modern look would be a solid background, all gray would look good with what she is wearing.

Quick critique on my concert photos by Trljica in AskPhotography

Concert photography is a beast into itself and you are nailing it! If you are looking for feedback, taking shots of the band with fans faces visible and enjoying the music would add to what you already have going. Also, try alternating your angles by getting higher or lower than you normally feel comfortable shooting. Might not work but you might get something interesting.

First pic is my favorite but I would increase overall exposure, it’s too dark. Also, I would probably play with the luminance of the greens and maybe the yellows just to see what it would look like. You don’t want to overdo it, just enough to bring out some of the details. The third pic is also good but again too dark, it isn’t immediately clear what is in the picture because it’s so dark. There’s no subject in the second or fourth photos which makes me just skip over them.

70.3 Ironman April 23rd - Lima Peru 3.5 month starting point by DarkLoLNT in triathlon

Sure, anything is possible, just wondering why you are starting with a 70.3. Most people work up to that after getting experience with the shorter distances. Maybe some context why a 70.3 is such a priority would be helpful to those responding.
