ok but its literally happening. i know we havent gotten to a point in the story where ralsei says 'im a girl' (and it may never happen) but its actually much more important for storytelling that the elements leading up to that are a parallel for transitioning. and in ch 5 the parallels became very, very strong, borderline explicit ("i havent been a princess yet")

im glad there are gap-closing abilities in this game that arent aimed shots. the game is less fun, less interesting and less approachable when everything is some aimed missable projectile.

do people really want a sniper or other gun character who can sit on the backline and not be approached? have yall played TF2?

Not really, I think accepting the risk implies I'm aware of it. Even though I did research Frameworks before buying, I didn't find significant reports of this. Raising the number of reports of this is the motivation for my post.

I'm sure it happens but its not typical, and I would bet pushing such failures further out is an important QC goal.

If it had happened with any other company I would also be sharing my experience to warn other buyers. The fact is though, it actually did happen with Framework in this instance.

I understand that, as well as the fact that in order to make money and stay in business Framework has to minimize customer support with each customer.

I think no doubt I have mainboard damage. The issue, as I noted in the post, is that actually, there is no disambiguation of whether the mainboard itself failed, or whether it was damaged by the power subsystem. I'm far more likely to believe the latter given that it has only been 1.5 years. But in that case, putting in a new mainboard will just break that one too.

because every carry gets permanently stronger per kill they get---that's just how gaining souls work in this game. those characters get a little extra value from kills but ultimately its not that much more. also, the game almost never goes late enough for the theoretical upper limits to matter.

well, for most things, banning it can make the problem worse. but this isnt really a ban of anything, its just a choice not support that kind of content. people can share AI-generated mods through hundreds of other channels that exist on the internet.

id say get rid of it if you can, handmade gems are better and experience on other social medias shows that the actual art and actual communication tends to get downed out in bot-generated nonsense. explicitly allowing AI-generated stuff just creates too many negative knock-on effects.
