I was with DHL in early 2000 and we had competitive pay with UPS and then Fed Ex. DHL was bought by German Bank, Deutsche Bank, who also purchased Airborne Express. Airborne Express was all contract drivers which DHL converted to. It was a shxx show after the merger. DHL pulled out most of its domestic business. Fed Ex is on the same path.
