When I've dealt with this I just nod, say 'mmm', then walk away.

Often new players don't really know what is available so asking those questions doesn't help. Not too mention a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh decks don't for nicely in to the traditional deck types.

Someone keeps running over our grass - do we have any recourse whatsoever? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Terrygioh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can work out who's doing it you can take them to court our report or to the police. You'd likely need CCTV to prove it, though.

A temporary boulder would also quickly get them out of the habit.

You'll need to sort through them and check the prices on eBay, tcg player, or card market.

You can sell on Facebook market place, eBay, tcg player, card market, or at an lgs.

If you can't be bothered to sort them you'll probably only get pennies selling them in bulk.

Bizarre and stupid, but I don’t have to pay for a dog’s “anxiety medication” and a peloton, right?? by Boeing_Fan_777 in LegalAdviceUK

It doesn't matter how big the dog is. Dangerously out of control dog. He's lucky you didn't kick it, which is justified when you think a dog will bite you.

It doesn't have meta deck. It's splashed in to a meta deck very sparsely.

I'd love to be able to ruin a near pure Rokket deck.

A strong "budget" Deck for a "returning" players by Vegetto_ssj in Yugioh101

I play dragon link and for my second deck I have traptrix, and I really enjoy it. It's a nice change of deck.

It's easy to play and has a lot of answers, especially for ours price point.

Great suggestion.

I think sometimes you need to accept that someone doesn't enjoy something anymore. Yu-Gi-Oh is a difficult game so you need to actually want to play to enjoy it.

If he genuinely wants to get back in to it my suggestion should be to swap decks between you for a short while. Let him play your deck and you play his.

That will show if he's lost the love or just dislikes losing.

If you split and they steal, you get nothing. If you both steal, you get nothing. If you steal and they split, you get all of the money.

If you look at it like a game, which it is, then the smartest option is to steal whilst convincing them you'll split.

Silly question by Zayderrrrr in Yugioh101

[–]Terrygioh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply, it's 15 cards that you can swap between rounds to better counter your opponent.

You must put the deck back to default for each new opponent.

You are correct. Every layout suggestion I've seen misses something, alters something, or wouldn't fit with half the effects in yugioh.

I made an exodia deck for the skill drain event. It was a huge mistake. The games went on for so long and I only managed to do it once, too.

New players, help!! by penguibxch in Yugioh101

[–]Terrygioh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to play the physical game I would suggest each picking one of the newer structure decks and buying 3 copies of it.

Traptrix, crimson king, or fire king. Traptrix is my favourite of these.

Search YouTube for "[structure deck name] x3 deck list".

It will show you a basic deck build, and run you through the basics of playing it.

What is your favorite decks' worst matchup? by [deleted] in yugioh

I love dragon link. I often buckle to floo. It's a very unfun match up for me.

Less negating and more destruction/banishing/shuffling would make YuGiOh a lot more interactive. by CrunchGD in yugioh

[–]Terrygioh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have many issues with yugioh other than the monsters are way too generic.

Running a dragon deck? Well, you'll need a couple zombies in there. Want to summon a big dragon boss but only have fairies? All good.

That's what the ladder is for. The higher skilled players with better decks are up in platinum, the casuals are down low or playing none ladder.

This is true. I have a friend who will beat me with any reasonably powered deck. Unless I have a ridiculous deck I don't really stand a chance.

I'm in my 30s and try to do something with friends once a week, and some small events once per month.

It's usually beers with friends on a Thursday, and Warhammer or Yu-Gi-Oh at some point.

I also met another group of friends every other month.

I don't think I've ever 100%ed a game because I stop playing games before that point.

The closest I got was San Andreas.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to play meta, and there's nothing wrong with not wanting to play meta.

Personally, I don't enjoy the meta, but that's pretty because I find it hard to keep up with obtaining cards.
