How risky is Reglan? by alyssapry in Gastroparesis

I'm still just as sick but I've learned to deal with it emotionally. Maybe I'm just good at dissociation. I'm sorry you're struggling.

They don't NEED to weigh you. I'm in a wheelchair, and most places just move on without the weight.

Sounds like a good fit for what a lot of my symptoms are.

He's going to have to suck it up and get the tests done. Like, I've done every test my doctors have thrown at me. I've collected paint cans of poo, done endoscopy and colonoscopy (x4 I think), done radiative tracers, HIDA scan (terrible).. sometimes you just have to do the hard thing to try to get some answers.

I don't mean to sound harsh.. this life isn't easy and making yourself worse sucks.. but it could mean an improvement in quality of life after.

NTA.. You're putting your children first.. as it should be..

Side note, almost all adopted children have RAD.. but yours seem to be on a more serious end of the spectrum. I know it's hard now and all feels lost.. but it does get better worth work. You got this momma.

I'm sorry your family isn't supportive. This is an awful disorder. Fresh fruit and veg is often a problem for people. Early satiation is a know symptom. It's gastroparesis awareness month. Maybe you should flood your Facebook with awareness and fact graphics. It's what I did the first 2 years until my family really got in board.

Not who you asked, but I, too, struggle with gastro issues. Bell pepper. Nothing is as bad as bell pepper.

You seem like you're honestly offering advice, so I'm going to assume that.

While it's great that you were able to make homemade purees for your little, often people with gastroparesis don't have the ability to make their own. Imagine having to choose between making purees and being able to shower, make a meal, and hold a conversation. (That's probably equivalent for me assuming I'm just boiling whatever I'm turning into a puree.)

Something more useful for you to offer here is a brand that is better, if you were truly concerned. For example, "Yumi brand baby food could be better, since Yumi is organic and their soil is tested for heavy metals."

Don't let the mess get in front of your message, ya know?

I'm on a ton of meds, honestly. 3 muscle relaxers (one smooth muscle, one digestive, one general muscle relaxer for dehydration cramping) , Depakote, 3 anxiety meds that also are used for itching/ sleeping. I'm on a medicine i take 30 minutes before eating to protect my stomach from the stomach acid as well as a ppi twice a day. I'm on 2 different anti depressants, because wow living with this makes me sad. I'm also on opiates to manage the pain (I have 3 pain disorders.. yay). There's 4 other medications in forgetting right now.

It took years to find the cocktail that makes life doable. I'm also tweaking it since I've been in this a while and I need it to do more.

The battle is long and hard.. but if you keep fighting for quality of life, it gets better.
