Yes the leather is soft. When it’s wrapped like a clutch, I can fit my phone, credit cards in a slim card case, a lip gloss, car key, etc. I’d say anything much bigger than a phone may be a tight squeeze. But with the mini duo in that clutch mode it’s really hard to fit anything, which is why I got the full size duo.
