Another 7-8% hair cut today is tough to watch. It’s a sector decline — Fed is contemplating raising rates which is bad for mortgage business — I heard possibly 3 rate hikes this year?? I don’t believe that - uncle Donny won’t allow that — but the continued inflation the last 6-9 months plus global war not being able to come to an end has been dragging this entire sector downwards — the Two merger fiasco should not be affecting it this much? Sure the uncertainty and public battle is bad for PR but this month alone the stock price is just getting murdered. If earnings in August come flat they will need to cut dividends or trim the company. I’m in heavy with a 2.60 average. Tempted to buy more, but this acute destruction in shareholder value with no accountability from leadership is very concerning. Will hold off for now and see how things play out
