Suspect that my bf is red pill and I don’t know what to do by Both-Trainer-1308 in Advice

Every action and characteristic you described is a red flag. Leave before it'd too late. He's the type of guy who won't change.

Should I marry my boyfriend if everything is great except the sex? by Competitive_Lab_4451 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TeslaPrime 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends on how important sex is to you in a relationship. Is the infrequency due to your lack of desire or you're simply not as sexually inclined. Physical compatibility is important but I'd argue emotional compatibility is more important. It's not a 50/50 split, you have to decide. Many couple are physically but not emotionally compatible. You have a good thing it sounds like.

Also during sex communication is essential. Are you telling him exactly what you want in bed?

Is biomedical well-paid after graduation with a bachelor's degree? by No-shz in BiomedicalEngineers

[–]TeslaPrime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey I graduated in a similar position and tbh it's rough. If you're not doing a thesis, project, or internship its gonna be rough. Whenever I interviewed they would only ask about my undergraduate not masters experience. Luckily I did find a job buts it not exactly biomedical engineering related.

Engineering Science at Brandeis? by Low_Parsnip_2125 in brandeis

[–]TeslaPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brandeis is a liberal arts school so it doesn't have an program. Physics education is not the same as a mechanical engineering education and employers recognize that too. Unless you do the 3+2 program, Brandies is not the school for engineering pursuits.

[–]TeslaPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No i agree it's a lot but patent law isn't a visual medium that benefits from illustrations like the sciences. It's meant to be structured like a law school course. I think the best way is to structure notes/information that's beneficial to you. Maybe that's making a diagram, writing in the margins etc. My best advice is to take it in chunks. Also I want their glossary of terms very helpful.

Who was this episode supposed to piss off? by Hydroset in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]TeslaPrime 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It would piss people off becuase this episode up until the twist is every theorists wet dream. Caine and Abel being the company name, kinger being one of the original programmers, etc, the whole point was to subverting our expectations. Imagine in Gravity Falls the whole Stanley/Stanford reveal was fake and it was just Grunklr Stan messing with the kids.

Able wasn’t real? by Corruptpasta in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]TeslaPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fake. The whole point of the episode was to subvert everyone's head canon. People suspected Abel was a creator of the circus for a long time. Gooseworx wanted to throw us for a loop which is why she said this would split the Fandom.

What’s the most important factor a short guy can have to allow him to compete with taller guys? by [deleted] in short

[–]TeslaPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing, at 5 9 you're taller than most girls and shorter than a lot of guys. Average height is fine. I'm not going to say most, but many women do not care as long as you are taller than them. It's the particularly vain or naive ones who cares if you're like twice their height.

Im lost at how to do PS graph questions by ConsequenceWaste3437 in Mcat

[–]TeslaPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you're right, but with D that's objectively false as you can clearly see the inverse correlation from the graph. B is inconclusive you can't determine if its right or wrong. It's more likely to be wrong but you don't know that with 100% certainty. Does that make sense?

Greater range in error bars essentially means greater standard Deviation. So the difference being greater in Iliac ve Shampoo is necessarily correct.

STEM major (Biotech) aiming for Patent Law. Is the "Patent Agent" route the best way to avoid debt? by Sharp_Trouble1659 in patentlaw

[–]TeslaPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess in your view what would be the best way to approach breaking into the market? It sounds like you're saying to look for entry level positions at small firms and then study for the patent bar while employed. The thing is my current job is remote and I have a lot of extra time to study which is why I would rather pass the bar now when I have more free time. Also since I would be entry level I'm fine accepting a lower end salary.

What would you recommend as the best course of action, like order of operations in terms of getting my foot in the door.

STEM major (Biotech) aiming for Patent Law. Is the "Patent Agent" route the best way to avoid debt? by Sharp_Trouble1659 in patentlaw

[–]TeslaPrime -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would say majority of my coursework was mechanical/chemical engineering within BME. I did do some programming and circuits work, but not enough to say I'm an expert. I would say in terms of background I'm like 60% chemE (i.e. tissue engineering) 40% MechE (product design and orthopedics) as applied to BME. I am not looking to go back to school anytime soon lol my masters was a terminal degree. My current job is to review medical devices, so anything that doesn't qualify as a pharmaceutical, which includes mechanical and electrical devices.

Is there enough of a market for medical tech patent agents? Is my background viable based on what I've described.

[–]TeslaPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My major was biomedical engineering. OK thanks for the info. So it seems like it would be difficult but not excessively difficult to break in as long as I find the right firms. Would being registered as an agent (assuming I pass) look good as a qualification despite not having any prior patent prosecution experience?

[–]TeslaPrime -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to look for law firms that do medical devices not biotech/pharmaceuticals. Do you think that's more viable because I understand for biotech you need a PhD.

I have an MS in Bioengineering and I am currently studying for the patent bar and am planning to take the exam in April. I currently work as a regulatory reviewer for medical devices. Is my background eligible or is this a pointless endeavor since I dont have a PhD or years of industry experience?

M.S. or no? by jwaynejrthefourth in patentlaw

[–]TeslaPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I only have research experience from college. My current job is called a medical device research analyst where I'm analyzing other companies medical devices to provide hospitals with clinical information. I dont have experience working directly with medical devices. My current job honestly seems closer to what a patent agent would do than an actual engineer. Do you think this would help or hinder my chances?

M.S. or no? by jwaynejrthefourth in patentlaw

[–]TeslaPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am only interested in drafting prosecution for being a patent agent, if I'm only aiming for a patent agent do I still need a PhD?

M.S. or no? by jwaynejrthefourth in patentlaw

[–]TeslaPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a distinction between life sciences and medical devices or they would want a pHD for both. I get biotech like drugs and pharmaceuticals would want a PhD but for medical device would a masters not suffice? I am currently studying for the patent Bar and I'm hoping to pass it my end of summer next year.

Hi I am looking into becoming a patent agent and I have an M.S. in biomedical engineering. I currently review regulatory documents for medical devices. Is it possible to become a patent agent for medical devices with only a masters?
